🎪 About This Event

Bako Card Fest is Bakersfield's own grassroots trading card game and collectibles convention, landing at The Eagles in downtown Bakersfield on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Built by two local collectors from the 661 who wanted a real gathering place for the Kern County hobby community, this single-day show is all about buying, selling, trading, and connecting — exactly the kind of homegrown event that keeps a local scene thriving.

The focus here is trading card games and collectibles, so expect a floor full of Pokémon singles and sealed product, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, and Dragon Ball Z, plus the chase cards, bulk lots, and supplies that round out a good TCG dig. You will also find sports cards across MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, and soccer, graded slabs in locked cases, vintage finds, memorabilia, Funko Pops, and anime and pop-culture collectibles. Whether you are hunting a specific chase card, looking to move your bulk, or just want to talk shop with fellow collectors, the room is set up for it.

This is a one-day event running from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, an easy Saturday outing whether you stop in for an hour or stay for the whole show. Admission is just $5 at the door, and kids 12 and younger get in free, making it an affordable, family-friendly day out. The organizers also run free raffles and giveaways throughout the day, so there is a little extra fun on top of the shopping.

The venue, The Eagles at 1718 17th Street, sits right in central Bakersfield with easy access from across the city and convenient downtown parking nearby. Its central location makes it simple to combine the show with a downtown lunch or coffee stop, and the single-room format means you can comfortably work every table and circle back to negotiate on the pieces you want most.

Who should attend? This show is a natural fit for Bakersfield and Kern County collectors of every kind — TCG players and Pokémon fans first, but also sports card collectors, set builders, vintage diggers, modern flippers, families introducing kids to the hobby, and first-timers who want a welcoming, low-pressure place to start. The community-built vibe makes it especially approachable, and the mix of cards and collectibles keeps seasoned dealers interested too.

To get the most out of Bako Card Fest, arrive near the 10:00 AM open for first crack at fresh inventory and the best deals before the popular tables thin out. Bring cash to keep transactions fast and to get the best prices, carry a sorted want list so you can move efficiently, and pack penny sleeves, top loaders, and a slab case to protect your pickups. A trade binder is handy if you like to deal in person.

Bako Card Fest is brought to you by @Paca_Collectibles and @proximitycollectibles, with The Card Vault TCG as the official retail partner. For vendor table inquiries, guest and giveaway announcements, and any schedule updates, visit bakocardfest.com and follow the organizers on social media ahead of the show. For a true hometown Bakersfield card event, this is the one to circle on your June calendar.
