About This Event

The CJ Sports Monthly MLB Box Break returns to CJ Sports, Collectibles & More on Sunday, July 12, 2026 for the mid-summer baseball edition of one of Albuquerque's most respected and longest-running in-person sports card box breaks. Hosted by the CJ Sports team at 10000 Coors Boulevard Bypass NW, this monthly Sunday box break packs the back retail-floor break room with sealed product opens of premium MLB hobby boxes — recent Topps Series 2 Baseball, Topps Chrome Baseball, Topps Heritage, Bowman Draft, Bowman's Best, Topps Stadium Club, Panini Prizm Baseball, Topps Tier One, Topps Five Star, Topps Dynasty, Topps Definitive, and Bowman Sterling — and consistently pulls collectors driving in from Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Corrales, Bernalillo, Placitas, Santa Fe, Los Lunas, and the entire Westside and Northwest Mesa corridor. Mid-July timing puts the break right onto the MLB All-Star break window — making this one of the highest-attention baseball box breaks of the entire 2026 calendar.

Box Breaks at CJ Sports run in a randomized team-distribution format. Collectors buy a spot in the break in exchange for receiving all of the cards from one or more pre-assigned MLB teams pulled from the case. Spot pricing varies by product configuration and case size — premium-product breaks with Topps Dynasty or Five Star runs at higher per-spot pricing, and accessible-tier breaks with Topps Series 2 or Heritage at entry-level pricing. Bowman Draft and Bowman's Best breaks are particularly popular for prospect collectors chasing first Bowman cards of the 2026 draft class. The CJ Sports team livestreams every break on YouTube and Facebook, and remote collectors can purchase spots online in advance and ship cards to themselves nationwide. Walk-in collectors can also browse the retail showcase wall and pick up sealed singles, supplies, top loaders, and Pokémon, Magic, and Yu-Gi-Oh! product before or after the break.

Doors open at 11:00 AM MDT for browsing and spot purchases, and the first box rip kicks off at 1:00 PM MDT. Total break time runs three to four hours depending on the number of cases and configurations being opened, wrapping up by late afternoon. Spot purchases stay open until the moment a given product is racked and ripped — late buyers can grab whatever teams are still on the board. Single-card showcase pulls and big rookie hits are immediately announced and posted to the CJ Sports YouTube channel.

CJ Sports, Collectibles & More is at 10000 Coors Boulevard Bypass NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114, in the heart of the Northwest Mesa Cottonwood retail corridor with quick access from Coors Bypass, Coors Boulevard, and Paseo del Norte. The retail floor and break room are climate-controlled, ADA-accessible, and laid out with comfortable seating around the break-cam table. Free parking is plentiful in the surrounding Cottonwood-area shopping-center lot, and the corridor has dozens of restaurant options within five minutes.

This break fits modern MLB team collectors, prospect hunters chasing first Bowman rookie cards of the 2026 draft class, player collectors building their personal collections, casual fans wanting to land a few of their favorite Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas Rangers, or Albuquerque Isotopes parent-club Colorado Rockies cards, and remote livestream viewers who want a community break experience without leaving the couch. For the best experience, watch the CJ Sports YouTube channel ahead of break day to see the case configurations announced, lock in your team spot online before the in-person crowd arrives, and bring cash plus Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal backups. Contact CJ Sports through albuquerquecollectibles.com or follow the store on Facebook and YouTube for break previews, configuration announcements, and livestream timestamps.
