The Pavilion Collectible Show returns to 6430 Thornton Avenue in Newark for its May edition — a late-spring one-day card show in the heart of the East Bay. Following the successful April show, this May installment brings another 60 tables of sports cards, Pokémon, TCG, and collectibles to the same beloved East Bay venue at one of the most accessible price points in the region.
Memorial Day weekend has just passed, and the May 31 show capitalizes on the summer-entry energy of collectors who've had a holiday weekend to think about their want lists. The Sunday show format means collectors can use Saturday for the Front Row Card Show Pasadena or other May shows and finish the weekend with a final pass at Newark inventory.
Newark's position at the southern end of the East Bay makes it accessible from Fremont, Union City, Hayward, Milpitas, and southern Alameda County communities, as well as from the Peninsula via the Dumbarton Bridge corridor. The Pavilion Event Center provides straightforward, no-frills show space with ample parking and easy navigation.
Admission is $5 (kids under 10 free). Show hours are 10AM–4PM. Contact organizer Nelson at 510-386-6383 for table availability. The Pavilion shows are among the most affordable and community-friendly events in the Bay Area calendar — a genuine grassroots card show that reflects the heart of the local collecting community.
The May 31 Pavilion Collectible Show is a fitting close to the spring card show season in the East Bay — a reliable, accessible, and consistently attended event that serves the Newark and greater southern Alameda County collecting community. New collectors and seasoned veterans alike find value at every Pavilion show.
