🃏 About This Event

The Pikes Peak Card Show returns to the Norris Penrose Event Center on Saturday, August 8, 2026 for the August edition of Southern Colorado's longest-running sports card and collectibles show. Hosted at 945 Lower Gold Camp Road on the southwest side of Colorado Springs near the foot of Cheyenne Mountain, this 200-table Saturday-only marketplace fills the main Norris Penrose indoor venue with one of the deepest dealer floors in the Rocky Mountain region. Early-August timing slots the show into one of the most loaded sports windows of the year — the National Sports Collectors Convention is wrapping up in Chicago that same week, NFL training camps are in full swing across the league with Broncos camp running in Englewood, MLB pennant races are heating up, and Topps Chrome Baseball typically drops within days of the show, making this one of the best card-show weekends of the entire summer.

The vendor floor covers every corner of the trading card hobby. Sports tables stock deep MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, MMA, soccer, and college football across every era — vintage Topps, Bowman, Fleer, Goudey, Play Ball, and pre-war tobacco issues from the early 1900s through the 1980s, junk-wax 1990s monster boxes, and modern Panini Prizm, Donruss Optic, Select, Mosaic, Topps Chrome, Bowman Draft, and premium Topps Dynasty, National Treasures, Flawless, and Immaculate. Many dealers come straight from the National in Chicago with leftover convention inventory — this is one of the few shows in Colorado where you can buy actual fresh National pickups the same weekend the National ends. Local-team inventory — Rockies, Nuggets, Broncos, Avalanche, Air Force Falcons, and Colorado Buffaloes — anchors the cases. TCG tables stock Pokemon from vintage WOTC Base through Scarlet & Violet, plus Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece TCG, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Z Fusion World, Star Wars Unlimited, Flesh and Blood, and Riftbound. Locked cases display PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC graded slabs alongside autographed memorabilia, vintage comics, Funko Pops, and hobby supplies.

Doors open at 9:00 AM Mountain and run to 4:00 PM Mountain — seven full hours that lets you work the room top-to-bottom and circle back for the final hour negotiation push. General admission is completely free for all ages and there is no formal VIP early-entry. Kids are warmly welcomed and dealers consistently hand out free packs and base singles to younger collectors. The August edition often pulls extra walk-in traffic on the back end of National weekend, so arriving at 9:00 AM sharp is strongly recommended.

The Norris Penrose Event Center sits at 945 Lower Gold Camp Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80905, on the southwest side of town a few minutes off US-24 and Highway 115. The hall is climate-controlled, ADA-accessible, and laid out with wide aisles. Free parking is plentiful in the on-site lot. Nearby food options include Manitou Springs to the west, Old Colorado City closer to downtown, and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo just up the road for families building a full Saturday around the show.

This show fits every collector profile — first-timers, families, casual fans, modern flippers, prospect hunters, vintage diggers, and TCG players. For the best experience, arrive at 9:00 AM sharp for first dibs on freshly-stocked tables (especially the National-leftover boxes), bring cash plus Venmo and Zelle backups, and carry a sorted want list. Pack penny sleeves, top loaders, and a slab case.
