Best of the Best in Sportscards is the go-to destination for sports card collectors on O’ahu and arguably the best pure sports card shop in the Hawaiian Islands. Owner Calvin Fujimoto opened the doors in 1997 after years of setting up at local swap meets and card shows, and his passion for the hobby runs deep — he bought his first pack of 1977 Topps Star Wars cards at age ten. The Pearl City store in the Times Square Shopping Center (ground floor of a Foodland strip mall) packs over 1,100 square feet with unopened hobby boxes and packs across baseball, football, basketball, and hockey, plus Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! for the TCG crowd. Graded cards, autographed memorabilia, McFarlane figures, and a full wall of collecting supplies round out the inventory. The staff — especially Jeff — is consistently praised for honest appraisals, fair buying offers, and genuine enthusiasm for helping new collectors navigate the hobby. Best of the Best sets up at the Hawaii Collectors Expo and hosts occasional in-store trade nights announced via social media.
