Battle and Board opened in December 2024 in North Raleigh to fill a gap in the local TCG and collecting community. The shop was designed from the ground up to feel less like a retail store and more like spending an evening at a friend's house — with couches, original Pokémon episodes playing on screens, and good music creating an atmosphere that invites you to kick back and stay a while. The focus is on growing multiple TCG and collecting communities under one roof, with Pokémon, Gundam model kits, anime merchandise, and trading card games all represented. On any given event night, you'll find several different TCGs being played, leading to organic cross-pollination where collectors discover new games and meet people they'd never encounter otherwise. The result is a local hangout spot that builds genuine community. Located on Falls of Neuse Rd in North Raleigh, Battle and Board is open Thursday through Sunday with extended Saturday hours.
