🃏 About This Event

Dirty Red's Sports Cards & TCG Show brings a full weekend of collecting to the Evangeline Room in Slidell on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, 2026. This locally run show has built a loyal following on the Northshore by keeping things simple: a friendly room, approachable dealers, and a genuine mix of sports cards and trading card games that gives both sides of the hobby a reason to make the drive.

On the sports side, expect binders and showcases loaded with MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL singles, from affordable base rookies to graded PSA and BGS slabs. New Orleans Saints cards are perennial favorites in this corner of Louisiana, and dealers usually stock plenty of LSU alumni along with vintage material for collectors chasing older sets. The TCG tables are just as active, with Pokemon leading the way - vintage holos, modern alt arts, sealed packs and boxes - plus Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, and Lorcana singles and sealed product. Sellers here tend to price to move, and haggling is part of the fun.

Doors open at 11:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday, making this one of the rare shows in the region where you do not have to be an early riser to catch the action. Saturday generally draws the bigger crowd and the fullest tables, while Sunday rewards bargain hunters as dealers grow more flexible before pack-up.

Admission is free, with no tickets or registration required. The casual format and late-morning start make it an easy outing for families, and children are welcome - this is exactly the kind of low-pressure room where young collectors can trade their first cards.

The Evangeline Room is a popular local event venue on the Gause Boulevard corridor in Slidell, with free parking on site. Slidell sits at the junction of I-10, I-12, and I-59, so the show is an easy run from New Orleans East, the lakefront communities, Mandeville and Covington, and even the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Plenty of restaurants line Gause Boulevard for a lunch break between laps.

Who should come? Casual collectors and families will feel right at home, TCG players can restock decks without a convention-sized crowd, and serious sports card buyers will find enough graded and vintage inventory to justify the trip. Anyone with a collection to sell should bring it - local dealers at this show actively buy and trade, and two days of foot traffic means offers can be compared without pressure.

To make the most of the weekend, hit Saturday near the 11:00 AM open for first crack at fresh stock, bring cash for the best deals, and pack a want list to stay focused. If you are trading, organize your binder in advance and know your rough values - fair, fast trades are the culture here. Coming both days is a legitimate strategy: scout and negotiate Saturday, then close deals Sunday.
