By using The Card Shop Finder, you agree to these terms. We've kept them straightforward.
By accessing or using The Card Shop Finder (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
The Card Shop Finder is an independent directory of trading card and hobby shops. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the shops we list unless expressly stated. Listing a shop does not imply any partnership between us and that shop.
We work hard to keep listings accurate, but details like hours, inventory, pricing, and even whether a shop is open can change without notice. Listings are provided on an "as is" basis for your convenience. Always confirm important details directly with the shop before relying on them. We are not responsible for your experience at any listed shop.
Shop owners and authorized representatives may claim a listing to manage its content. You may only claim a listing you are authorized to represent, and you're responsible for keeping the information you provide accurate and lawful. We may edit, suspend, or remove any listing or claim at our discretion.
Optional paid listing plans (Basic and Premium) are billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your owner dashboard; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Features and pricing may change with reasonable notice. These plans are for shop listings and are separate from Featured event listings, which are a one-time purchase covered in section 6.
Anyone can submit a card show or event to the Service at no cost. A free submission is published once a person on our team has reviewed it, usually within one business day. Optionally, and separately from the shop plans above, you can pay a one-time fee of $20 to make a single event listing Featured.
A Featured listing goes live on the site immediately, without waiting for review, and is pinned into the Featured position on the state page and city page for the event's location, and on the homepage for visitors browsing near that location. The placement runs until the event ends, at which point the listing expires like any other.
A Featured listing also displays your website or ticket link as a clickable link on the listing itself. Free listings can save a link with their submission, but do not display one. If a Featured listing is refunded the link stops being displayed; we keep what you typed either way, so buying Featured again brings it back without you re-entering anything. Events listed on the Service before 9 August 2026 are unaffected and keep their links.
Featured placement buys position on our pages, and the link described above. It does not buy an outcome. We do not guarantee attendance, ticket or table sales, any level of traffic, clicks, or enquiries, or any search engine ranking. Nobody can honestly promise those things, so we don't.
Paying does not affect search indexing. A Featured listing appears on the site the moment you pay, but it is withheld from search engines until a person has reviewed it — exactly the same review a free listing gets, on the same timescale. Payment moves your listing up our pages; it does not move it into Google, and it does not get it there sooner.
Nearby featured events take turns in this slot — it changes daily. A Featured listing buys regular turns, not permanent ownership.
Featured placements are capped so the slot stays useful to readers: at most one of the three homepage event positions, and two of the three positions on a state page, are ever a paid Featured placement. Where more featured events are nearby than there are positions, they take turns. You are buying a share of a rotating placement, not exclusive or permanent ownership of it, and we don't sell exclusivity at any price.
Every Featured listing is labelled "Featured" wherever it appears, in text, next to the listing itself. We commit to this: we will not describe a paid placement using words that imply we chose it on merit, such as "Top", "Best", "Recommended", or "Editor's pick". If a listing is in a position because someone paid for it, you will be able to see that without hovering, clicking, or reading the small print.
A Featured listing is a one-time purchase of placement, and refunds are handled by a person rather than automatically. If you want to be refunded, ask us — reply to any email we've sent you about your event, or use our contact page. We look at every request individually and on its merits, usually the same day. We are not able to promise a refund in advance for every situation, and asking does not take your event off the site.
Two situations where we do not need to be asked, because the money is not ours to keep:
Once your event has taken place, the placement has been delivered and we don't refund it.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with and typically take 5-10 business days to appear, depending on your bank. Refunding a Featured listing removes the Featured placement; the event itself stays listed for free unless you ask us to take it down.
We review every event listing, paid or free, and may decline or remove one. The usual grounds are that the event can't be verified as real, the listing is duplicated, the details are misleading, the content is unlawful or infringing, the venue location can't be identified, or the submission is spam. We'll tell you the reason and, where the listing was paid for, refund it under 6.5.
We also can't sell Featured placement for an event whose location we can't place on a map, because the placement works by distance and the listing would have nothing to appear alongside. Where that happens we decline the sale rather than take payment for a placement that won't render.
You can edit your listing at any time using the management link we email you. Changing the event's name, description, or website sends it back for a short second review, because those are the parts a reader relies on. Your listing stays visible while that happens, and a Featured listing stays Featured — but it is withheld from search engines again until the review is done. Corrections are welcome; this isn't a penalty for fixing a typo.
You're responsible for the accuracy of what you submit, and for having the right to submit it, including any images. If your event is cancelled, moved, or rescheduled, please update or remove the listing. Section 3 applies to event listings as much as to shop listings.
The site's design, original text, and compiled directory are our property and protected by applicable laws. Shop names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only. Content you submit remains yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and use it in connection with operating the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
