Saturday, August 15, 2026 brings another instalment of the Downtown Card Show to 932 Texas Street in Fairfield, and the mid-August date lands right in the middle of the year's busiest trading card game stretch. With Pokémon's world-championship season peaking and new set releases landing across nearly every major TCG, the tables at this edition skew noticeably more toward gaming product than the show's typical sports-heavy mix.
Expect Pokémon to headline. Vendors bring binders of Scarlet and Violet era singles, special illustration rares, full-art trainers, and Japanese imports, plus sealed booster boxes, elite trainer boxes, and collection tins for collectors who prefer to rip rather than buy singles. Vintage Pokémon shows up too — Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Neo, and e-Card material in raw and graded form. Magic: The Gathering dealers carry Commander staples, Modern and Pioneer playables, reserved-list singles, and bulk rare boxes worth digging through. Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Super Fusion World, Digimon, Flesh and Blood, and Star Wars Unlimited all have a presence depending on the week's vendor roster.
The sports side does not disappear. Boxes of MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, and soccer cards run from 1960s vintage through current-year Prizm, Optic, Select, Mosaic, Topps Chrome, and Bowman product. Bay Area team inventory — Giants, 49ers, Warriors, Sharks, Athletics — is a reliable strength, and there is usually at least one table specializing in graded slabs from PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC. Memorabilia, comics, Funko Pops, retro games, and supplies round out the room.
Hours run Saturday only, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific. There is no VIP window and no advance ticketing — it is a straightforward walk-up show. Admission is charged at the door at a modest neighborhood-show rate, and kids attending with a parent or guardian are welcome; because there is no published ticketing page, verify the current price on the show's Instagram before heading out.
The location is downtown Fairfield's Texas Street corridor, the walkable heart of Solano County's civic district. Free street parking runs the length of Texas Street with additional public lots a block away, and the surrounding businesses — coffee roasters, sandwich shops, taquerias, and a couple of brewpubs — make it easy to build a half-day out of the trip. Interstate 80 access is a few minutes away, putting the show within roughly an hour of San Francisco, Sacramento, and most of the East Bay.
This edition is especially well suited to competitive TCG players hunting deck singles before fall tournament season, parents shopping with kids who have specific Pokémon want lists, and collectors who prefer a browsable room over a cavernous convention floor. Serious sports buyers still find plenty, but the gaming density is the draw in August.
Come early if you are chasing specific singles — the good TCG binders get picked over fast in a room this size.
