About This Event

The Southern California Sports Card Show returns to the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City on Saturday, August 8, 2026, continuing one of the longest-standing Saturday card show traditions on LA's Westside. This is the classic sports-card-show experience — rows of dealer tables in a spacious civic auditorium, longtime SoCal dealers who have been setting up for years, and a steady flow of collectors who treat the show as a monthly ritual. If you collect sports cards on the Westside, this room should be in your rotation.

As the name promises, sports cards are the backbone. Expect deep coverage of MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, and soccer — modern Topps Chrome, Bowman Chrome prospects, Panini Prizm, Donruss Optic, Select, and Mosaic alongside serious vintage: 1950s-70s Topps, Bowman, and Fleer, star cards, set builders' boxes, and graded PSA, BGS, and SGC slabs in locked display cases. The Dodgers, Lakers, Rams, Kings, and USC/UCLA local angle runs strong at these tables. Most editions also bring a healthy TCG presence — Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and One Piece — plus memorabilia, autographs, supplies, and dollar boxes that reward patient diggers.

Show hours run 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 8 — one of the longer single-day windows on the LA circuit, with time to work the whole room twice. Admission is modest at the door (typically a few dollars, with kids often free with a paying adult); bring small bills and check the organizer's current policy if you are bringing the whole family.

The Veterans Memorial Auditorium sits at 4117 Overland Avenue at Culver Boulevard in Culver City, with free and low-cost parking around the civic complex and easy access from the 405 and the 10. It draws from Culver City, Palms, Mar Vista, Santa Monica, Venice, Westchester, West LA, and over the hill from the Valley. The auditorium is air-conditioned with good lighting — a comfortable room to spend a full Saturday.

Who should attend? Vintage collectors will find some of the best old-cardboard tables in the county. Set builders, player collectors, and rookie-card hunters all do well here, and the unhurried pace makes it a great first show for kids and newer collectors. Dealers and flippers work this room for inventory because prices skew fair and negotiable, especially late in the day.

To get the most out of the show, arrive near the 10:00 AM open for first pick — the best vintage and freshly consigned slabs go early. Bring cash first, Venmo and Zelle second, and carry a want list with target prices. Dig the dollar and quarter boxes; this show's discount boxes are consistently productive. If you are selling, bring your cards — many dealers actively buy collections at the table. Confirm the date before making the drive, as civic-venue schedules occasionally shift; the show's listing pages and the organizer's social channels carry week-of updates.
