🃏 About This Event

Twin Oaks Shows returns to The Commons at Federal Way on Sunday, August 23, 2026 with its regular Sunday card show — the late-summer installment of a free-admission series that has been part of South Sound weekends for close to forty years. Late August is a particular moment in the collecting year: baseball is heading into its final stretch, football product is arriving, and a lot of collectors are quietly selling to fund fall buying. That combination tends to make this stretch of Sundays one of the better windows for finding motivated sellers.

The Sunday format is card-focused and unhurried. Sports dealers stock MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, and soccer across every era, from 1950s and 1960s Topps and Bowman vintage through 1970s and 1980s stars and rookies, extremely affordable late-1980s and 1990s wax and singles, and current Panini Prizm, Select, Donruss Optic, Topps Chrome, Bowman, and Bowman Draft. Pacific Northwest inventory is a consistent strength here — Seattle Mariners, Seahawks, Kraken, Sounders, Storm, Washington Huskies, Washington State Cougars, Gonzaga, and Tacoma Rainiers — and the veteran dealer base means unpicked older stock still surfaces regularly.

Trading card game tables cover Pokémon from Wizards of the Coast Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, and Neo through EX and Diamond and Pearl eras up to modern Scarlet and Violet releases and Japanese imports, plus Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Z Fusion World, and Digimon. Locked cases display graded slabs from PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC, and accessory sellers carry sleeves, top loaders, magnetic holders, binders, and storage boxes at prices that generally beat online retail once shipping is counted.

Hours run 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time. Admission is free and parking is free. There is no VIP tier, no advance ticket, and no early-entry window — everyone enters together, which keeps the atmosphere relaxed and makes it easy to drop in for a half hour if that is all the time you have.

The Commons at Federal Way is at 1928 South Commons, Federal Way, WA 98003, directly accessible from I-5 roughly halfway between Seattle and Tacoma. Free surface and garage parking, indoor climate control, elevators, accessible restrooms, and a nearby food court make it one of the most family-friendly venues in the region. Bringing kids or hauling a box of cards to sell is genuinely easy here in a way it is not at downtown venues.

Who should attend: sellers and traders looking to move material before fall, set builders working vintage checklists, families on a budget, casual collectors, and TCG players restocking. Because so many Twin Oaks dealers actively buy collections, this is a practical place to bring inherited cards or a childhood box and get several honest opinions in one afternoon.

To get the most from it, arrive at the 11:00 AM open. If you are selling, visit at least three tables before accepting an offer — spreads between buyers on the same lot can be substantial. If you are buying, bring cash in small denominations plus Venmo, carry a want list, and pack penny sleeves and top loaders. Ask what came in during the past week rather than only browsing displays. Near the 4:00 PM close, polite offers on anything you passed on earlier often land. Confirm the date and see the balance of the 2026 schedule at twinoaksshows.com.
