Shoff Promotions brings its Sports Card, Pokémon & Comics Show back to the Annandale Fire House Expo Hall on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Run by promoter Nick Schoff, this is one of the most affordable and family-friendly recurring shows in inner Northern Virginia, with a three-dollar gate and a mix of sports cards, Pokémon, comics, and collectibles that makes it easy for every kind of collector to find something.
The name lists the three anchors. Sports card tables cover baseball, basketball, football, and hockey, often including graded slabs and vintage. Pokémon dealers sell singles, sealed packs, and collection lots. Comic tables add bagged and boarded back issues and key books, while other vendors carry Funko Pops, toys, and general memorabilia. A fire-house expo hall is a smaller setting than a convention center, so the atmosphere is friendly and browsable, with room to chat with dealers and sort through boxes at your own pace.
Show hours are 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, and admission is $3, a price that keeps the show accessible for families and first-time visitors. Confirm any table-count or early-entry details with the promoter, since they are not listed (VERIFY).
The show takes place at the Annandale Fire House Expo Hall, 7128 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA. Columbia Pike is a well-known commuter route, and the hall is accessible from Route 236, the Capital Beltway, and I-395. Onsite parking is generally available around the fire house, but confirm any event-day arrangements. Annandale also hosts Collector's World, a local hobby shop that makes a natural second stop.
Families, budget-minded collectors, comic readers, and Pokémon fans will feel at home. New collectors can learn a lot here because the low ticket price and small scale make conversations easy, and experienced hobbyists can fill gaps or find trade partners.
Arrive close to 9:30 AM for the best selection. Bring small bills, since most dealers accept cash easily and the entry fee is modest. Prepare a want list, check prices in advance, and ask dealers about bundle discounts. Kids often enjoy digging through dollar bins, which makes the show a good place to encourage a young collector without a large budget.
Shoff Promotions has a long-running reputation in the Washington area for keeping shows welcoming and affordable, and the Annandale hall is a neighborhood favorite because it is easy to reach from both the Beltway and the Virginia suburbs. Beyond the tables, the atmosphere is what many attendees mention: neighbors bump into fellow collectors, kids show off their binders, and dealers happily talk through the history of a card or a comic key issue. If you are curious about grading, ask a dealer to show you the difference between a raw card and a slab, because a friendly show like this is a good place to learn without pressure.
