June 13-14 is one of the busiest in-person weekends of the summer, with 700-plus-table shows on both coasts plus a deep slate of regional events. Here is where to go and how to work the floor.
The weekend of June 13-14 is shaping up to be one of the busiest of the summer for in-person collecting, with major shows running coast to coast and a packed slate of regional events filling in around them. If you are within driving distance of a metro area, there is almost certainly a show worth your Saturday.
The Marquee Events
LA Card Show - Los Angeles, CA
The LA Card Show returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, June 13-14, running 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days. With more than 700 trading card and collectible vendors on the floor, it is one of the largest gatherings on the calendar this month and a destination event for West Coast collectors.
Trading Card Megafest Explosion - Hollywood, FL
On the other coast, the Trading Card Megafest Explosion takes over the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, June 13-14, with hours running 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. It is the standout Southeast option for the weekend.
Silicon Valley Cards and Collectibles Show - San Jose, CA
Northern California collectors have the Silicon Valley Cards and Collectibles Show in San Jose on June 13-14, running 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, giving the Bay Area a solid regional draw without the trip south to Los Angeles.
Collect-A-Con - Kansas City, MO
Collect-A-Con brings its trading card and pop-culture hybrid format to Kansas City on June 13-14. If you like your card shows mixed with anime, gaming, and guest appearances, this is the one to circle in the Midwest.
Plenty More Close To Home
Beyond the headliners, dozens of smaller shows are scheduled across the country that weekend, including events in Texas (Austin, Fort Worth, and Rosenberg), multiple Florida cities, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Illinois. It is genuinely one of the deepest single-weekend lineups of the season.
Show-Day Tips
- Arrive early for the best selection - the sharpest deals and the freshest inventory tend to move in the first hour.
- Bring cash. Many tables still prefer it, and cash often unlocks better pricing than a card reader.
- Set a budget before you walk in. A 700-table floor is designed to separate you from your money.
- Know your comps. Check recent sales on your phone before committing to anything significant.
Use our shop and show directory to plan your route, and if you are hitting one of the big ones, get there at open. The best part of any card weekend is the table you were not expecting to find.
