Marvel Super Heroes Commander Decklists Roll Out This Week Ahead of the June 26 Magic Launch
The full decklists for Magic's four Marvel Super Heroes Commander precons are revealing one per day from June 8 to June 11. Here is the breakdown of Avengers Assemble, The Fantastic Four, Wakanda Forever, and Doom Prevails, plus pricing and release timing.
Magic: The Gathering's biggest crossover of the summer is almost here, and this week collectors are getting their clearest look yet at how it will play. The full decklists for the four Marvel Super Heroes Commander precons are rolling out one per day from June 8 to June 11, building toward the set's June 26 release.
The Four Precon Decks
Marvel Super Heroes ships with four 100-card Commander decks, each built around an iconic corner of the Marvel universe:
- Avengers Assemble - a Jeskai (white-blue-red) deck leaning on Hero typal synergies and +1/+1 counters.
- The Fantastic Four - a four-color build focused on noncreature spells and copying triggered abilities.
- Wakanda Forever - a Selesnya (green-white) artifacts deck that generates Vibranium tokens.
- Doom Prevails - a Grixis (blue-black-red) Villains deck featuring connive and life-drain.
Each deck contains 100 cards built from 30 brand-new cards and 70 reprints, the standard modern Commander precon formula that gives players fresh legends to build around while keeping the decks playable out of the box.
Pricing and the Collector's Edition
The decks carry a standard MSRP of $69.99 each. For collectors who want the premium treatment, Collector's Edition versions present every card in Surge Foil for an MSRP of $149.99 per deck. With 30 new cards apiece, the singles market for the freshest legends and staples will be worth watching closely in the days after release.
Universes Beyond crossovers have repeatedly proven they can pull non-Magic fans into the game, and a Marvel set is about as broad an on-ramp as Wizards could ask for.
Mark Your Calendar
Prerelease events run the weekend of June 19, with the full set and Commander decks arriving June 26. Between the staggered decklist reveals this week and a Jumpstart product aimed squarely at new players, Marvel Super Heroes is positioned as the summer's biggest Standard-legal and Commander event in one release. If you are planning to chase specific precons, the per-day reveals are your cue to decide before launch-day demand sets the price.
