Magic: The Gathering's Marvel Super Heroes set debuts June 26 with Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, and more. Here is what collectors need to know about the crossover.
Marvel Comes to Magic
The crossover collectors have been waiting on is nearly here. Wizards of the Coast unveiled the Magic: The Gathering - Marvel Super Heroes set at MagicCon 2026 in Las Vegas, and it debuts June 26. The set reimagines iconic Marvel characters, from legendary heroes to world-threatening villains, through Magic's gameplay.
A Compressed Spoiler Season
Spoiler season is already underway, with Wizards packing the entire main set into roughly four weeks of reveals, not counting supplementary products and Commander decks. Dozens of legendary creatures have surfaced so far.
- Marquee names like Iron Man anchor the set.
- Deep cuts like Reptil show how far into the catalog the design team reached.
- The roster spans the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and Daredevil, with Squirrel Girl turning up for the squirrel tribal crowd.
In a nice bit of crossover marketing, MCU star Paul Bettany helped unveil the card The Mind Stone.
What It Means for the Hobby
Universes Beyond sets have repeatedly proven to be among Magic's best-selling products, and a property as large as Marvel could pull in plenty of collectors who have never shuffled a Magic deck before.
Expect strong early demand and the usual scramble for special-treatment and serialized chase cards. If you are buying to play, watch for Commander decks alongside the set. If you are buying to collect, the borderless and showcase versions of the biggest heroes are the ones most likely to hold value.
On the Horizon
Looking past Marvel, Magic's Reality Fracture set, billed as the conclusion of the arc that began in Wilds of Eldraine, is scheduled for October 2.
