Pokemon TCG Pocket May 2026 Mid-Month Update: Mega Heracross ex Drop Live, Treecko Gallade Wonder Pick Open

Pokemon TCG Pocket is in the middle of its busiest May stretch. The Mega Heracross ex Drop event runs through May 29, the Treecko and Gallade Wonder Pick is open through May 27, and the Promo Victini plus Mega Lucario accessory set anchors the Premium Shop.

The mid-month rotation in Pokemon TCG Pocket is now in full swing. The Mega Heracross ex Drop event is live through May 29, the Treecko and Gallade Wonder Pick is available through May 27, and the May 2026 Premium Shop refresh continues to feature the Promo Victini plus Mega Lucario accessory set. Here is the full rundown of what is active right now and how to spend your hourglasses for the rest of the month.

Mega Heracross ex Drop Event (May 12 to May 29)

The Mega Heracross ex Drop Event is the centerpiece of the Pocket calendar this month. The event tasks players with completing themed Solo Battle missions and Drop Pack milestones to earn a guaranteed promo Mega Heracross ex card plus a stack of Shinedust and event-themed accessories. The Drop Pack mechanic returns from previous Drop events: players earn pack progression by playing matches, and each completed Drop Pack guarantees at least one new card from a curated pool.

  • The Mega Heracross ex promo is the guaranteed reward for completing the full mission ladder. It is a unique alt-art card that will not be available in any future expansion.
  • The Drop Pack progression mechanic resets to give players multiple shots at the curated Mega Heracross ex pool. Players who complete the full ladder before May 29 can keep cycling Drop Packs for additional pulls.
  • Event-themed missions include both Solo Battle objectives and PvP win counts. Solo Battles are the friendliest path for casual players, and they award identical mission progress to PvP wins.

Treecko and Gallade Wonder Pick (May 17 to May 27)

The Treecko and Gallade Wonder Pick launched on Saturday and runs through May 27. Wonder Picks let players spend Wonder Hourglasses on guaranteed picks from a small curated card pool. The Treecko and Gallade combo is built around the new Pulsing Aura archetype, so players who are still building competitive Pulsing Aura decks should prioritize this Wonder Pick to fill out their lineup.

Premium Shop May Rotation

The Premium Shop refreshed at the start of May with a Promo Victini and a full Mega Lucario accessory set that includes a board, sleeves, deck box, and player icon. The Victini promo is the headline pull because it works as a powerful early-turn engine in Fire-type decks, and the Mega Lucario accessory set leans into the Pulsing Aura cosmetic theme that has been the visual identity of the month.

"Premium Shop accessories pay for themselves the moment you actually use them. If you are playing a Mega Lucario deck, the matching board and sleeves are a one-time spend that improves every match you play through the end of the month."

What Just Ended

Two May events have already closed and should not factor into your hourglass planning anymore. The Pulsing Aura Emblem Event ran May 3 through May 13 and awarded profile emblems plus Shinedust for completing themed missions. Community Week ran May 8 through May 15 and rewarded friend-and-trade activity. Both are now archived, so if you missed them you will need to wait for the next cycle.

How to Prioritize Your Spend

With twelve days left in the Mega Heracross ex window and just over a week on the Treecko and Gallade Wonder Pick, the priority order is straightforward.

  • Mega Heracross ex Drop Event first. The guaranteed promo plus the cycled Drop Pack progression makes this the highest expected value per hourglass spend right now.
  • Treecko and Gallade Wonder Pick second, especially if you are building Pulsing Aura. The Wonder Pick window is shorter and the cards feed directly into a top-tier deck archetype.
  • Premium Shop accessories last, and only if you are actively playing a Mega Lucario or Victini-anchored Fire deck. Cosmetic spend is value only if you are getting the daily use out of it.

The next major Pocket calendar event is expected to drop the first week of June, so the rest of May is the window to clean up any incomplete missions and stockpile Shinedust for whatever comes next.
