The set supports all ten color pairs with a distinct identity, which is more variety than most recent sets have offered. Here is a breakdown of what each one is trying to do.
The Five Allied-Color Archetypes
- White-Blue, Fatehold: a scry and surveil deck that filters your draws and fuels Empower Jace tokens for incremental value.
- Blue-Black, Theorix: a self-mill deck built around graveyard synergies and threshold payoffs that reward a full bin.
- Black-Red, Stingerquill: an aggressive burn deck that leans on prepared spells and prowess triggers to close games fast.
- Red-Green, Konstrari: an artifacts and ramp deck centered on Heartwood token generation and mana acceleration into bigger threats.
- Green-White, Vigorbloom: a lifegain and counters deck that spreads +1/+1 counters while stabilizing your life total.

More experienced drafters chasing power should watch what is flowing late in packs 2 and 3 rather than force a color pair from pack 1.
