Press Boxx is the elder statesman of the Visalia card scene. Operating since 1990, owners Jack and Mike have spent more than three decades buying, selling, and displaying sports cards from a storefront on West Walnut Avenue, and the shop's organized cases read like a tour of the hobby: baseball and basketball cards, NFL and MLS product, WWE, historical pieces, and a NASCAR collectibles section you won't find anywhere else in Tulare County.

The pricing philosophy sets the tone. Regulars — including at least one industry professional who called it one of the best card shops they've experienced — praise Press Boxx for refusing to price gouge, keeping hobby boxes and autographed memorabilia at fair market numbers and offering genuine discounts on sealed wax. Combined with staff who share scouting-report-level knowledge on players and sets, the visit feels like the card shop experience of the hobby's heyday.

Vintage hunters should make this their first Visalia card shop stop. Decades in business means decades of accumulated inventory, and the older baseball stock runs deeper here than at the newer shops in town. Modern collectors are covered too, with current-year releases arriving alongside the legacy material.

The schedule is compact, so plan carefully: Tuesday through Friday 10AM to 4PM, Saturday 10AM to 2PM, closed Sunday and Monday.
