CJ Sports and Collectibles runs open Magic: The Gathering Casual Commander play on Friday, August 21, 2026 inside Cottonwood Mall on Albuquerque's west side. Tables are open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Mountain Time — a full nine-hour window rather than a fixed start time — so you can drop in on a lunch break, after school, or at the tail end of the workday and still find a pod forming.
There is no entry fee structure built around prize support, no decklist submission, no round timer, and no rules-lawyering.
Mall parking is free and enormous, and the interior location means you are playing in air conditioning with mall restrooms and a food court a short walk away — a real advantage over cramped strip-mall storefronts. Store hours Monday through Saturday are 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Sunday 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
