🃏 About This Event

The Conroe Sports Cards and Collectibles Show opens its 2027 calendar at the Hyatt Regency Conroe on January 23 and 24. This series has grown into one of the largest free-admission collectibles events in the greater Houston region, regularly filling the hotel's ballroom space with well over 200 vendor tables, and it is the default weekend destination for collectors across Montgomery County, north Harris County, and the I-45 corridor.

The organizers run the show across six headline categories: cards, memorabilia, Pokemon, comics, Funko, and video games. On the sports side that means MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, boxing, and racing inventory spread across bargain boxes, commons for set builders, mid-grade vintage stars, modern rookies and parallels, sealed wax, and graded slabs in display cases. Astros, Texans, and Rockets material is consistently well stocked. Pokemon and other trading card game vendors bring singles, sealed product, and premium pieces. Around them you will find autographed memorabilia, comic long boxes, retro video games and consoles, vintage toys, Funko sellers, and supply dealers carrying sleeves, top loaders, and storage.

Admission at every show in this series has been free for all attendees, with free parking at the hotel and no advance ticket required, and the organizers run raffles and giveaways across the weekend. Recent editions have run 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday. This January date appears on the organizer's published forward schedule but its dedicated event page was not yet live at the time of this listing, so confirm exact hours and any admission changes at conroesportscardshow.com before you travel.

The Hyatt Regency Conroe is at 1001 Grand Central Parkway, directly off I-45 in the Grand Central Park development, roughly forty minutes north of downtown Houston and minutes from Lake Conroe and The Woodlands. The organizers publish a discounted attendee room rate through the hotel, which is worth using if you plan to work both days properly or are driving in from outside the metro.

A late-January show is a useful one to attend. Dealers are actively restocking after the holiday season, which makes them more aggressive buyers if you have material to sell, and collectors who received cards as gifts often bring them to a show like this for a first honest look. It is also a sensible moment to set a collecting budget for the year before the spring product calendar arrives.

Go in with cash in mixed denominations, a want list organized by set and player or character, and something rigid to carry purchases home. Walk the full floor before making a large purchase, since a room this size almost always has the same card at several price points. Ask before pulling anything from a display case, and for graded cards verify the grading company, the grade, and the certification number in hand.
