The East Bay Card Show opens the 2027 calendar with its New Year weekend edition at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport in Burlingame, Saturday and Sunday, January 2 and 3, 2027. Tenth Inning Productions has made the first weekend of January a fixture on the Peninsula circuit, and the timing is smart: collectors are flush with holiday gift cards and Christmas cash, kids are still out of school, and dealers are motivated to move inventory that did not sell in December. It is consistently one of the friendliest buying environments of the year.
The Hyatt Regency ballroom holds roughly 200 tables and they fill with a genuine cross-section of the hobby. Sports dealers bring NFL through the playoff push with San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders material in demand, NBA at midseason led by Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, NHL with deep San Jose Sharks stock, and MLB in its quietest window — which is precisely when San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics cards are cheapest and patient buyers should be shopping. Inventory spans pre-war and 1950s Topps and Bowman vintage, 1960s and 1970s stars, 1980s and 1990s set-builder runs, junk-wax dollar and quarter boxes, and current Panini Prizm, Donruss Optic, Select, Mosaic, Contenders, Topps Chrome, Bowman Draft, Stadium Club, and premium National Treasures, Immaculate, and Flawless. Trading card game vendors carry Pokémon in depth — raw singles across every era, Japanese exclusives, graded illustration rares, and sealed booster boxes and elite trainer boxes — plus Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Super, Digimon, and Flesh and Blood. Locked cases hold PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC slabs, and additional tables carry autographed memorabilia, signed baseballs and jerseys, comics, Funko Pops, retro video games, and supplies.
Saturday runs 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific and Sunday runs 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific. General admission is sold on the East Bay Card Show website and at the door, with VIP early-access tickets available for first look each morning before public hours. Children 12 and under enter free with a paying adult. Parking at the Hyatt Regency is free, which is a meaningful saving on the Peninsula.
The Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport is at 1333 Old Bayshore Highway in Burlingame, directly off US-101 and within sight of SFO's runways. The hotel runs a complimentary airport shuttle, making this one of the few Bay Area shows that is practical to fly in for, and Millbrae BART and Caltrain are a short ride away. The ballroom is climate-controlled, carpeted, ADA-accessible, and laid out in wide aisles. Burlingame Avenue's restaurants and cafes are five minutes away.
This show suits collectors spending holiday money, families with kids still on winter break, bargain hunters working the year's softest baseball market, TCG players restocking for the new season, and dealers buying collections from sellers clearing out for the new year.
For the best results, buy VIP and arrive at 9:30 AM Saturday. Bring cash, a want list weighted toward the categories that are seasonally cheap, sleeves and top loaders, and a carrying case.
