🃏 About This Event

Fire Ant returns to The Hobbyist Colony Card Shop in Edmond on Saturday and Sunday, September 26–27, 2026, for the September edition of its Sports & TCG Card Show. Fire Ant's whole model is frequency — rather than one enormous annual event, the operator runs a steady drumbeat of shows through the year, which means the dealer roster rotates, inventory is genuinely fresh each time, and regulars build real relationships with the vendors they buy from. If you missed the August weekend, this is the same format with a different cast.

The floor is mixed sports and trading card games. Sports dealers stock MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing and soccer across every era: vintage Topps, Bowman, Fleer and Donruss from the 1950s through the 1980s, 1990s junk-wax bargain boxes that reward patient digging, and modern Panini Prizm, Donruss Optic, Select, Mosaic, Topps Chrome and Bowman Draft, with premium National Treasures, Flawless and Immaculate cards under glass. Late September is the sweet spot where football is in full swing, baseball is heading into the postseason and basketball product is landing, so the modern cases here are as active as they get all year. Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Thunder, Chiefs, Cowboys, Rangers and Astros inventory carries the local demand. TCG tables cover Pokémon singles and sealed from vintage Wizards of the Coast through Scarlet & Violet and Japanese exclusives, plus Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana and Dragon Ball Z Fusion World. Graded PSA, BGS, SGC and CGC slabs, autographed memorabilia, comics, Funko Pops and supplies complete the mix.

Doors open at 10:00 AM CDT both days, running until roughly 5:00 PM Saturday and roughly 4:00 PM Sunday. Fire Ant admission is low or waived depending on the edition, and children always get in free with an adult. Because the show is hosted inside an operating card shop, the shop's own singles cases, sealed wall and supply rack are open throughout, effectively adding a permanent extra dealer to the floor. Confirm current door pricing on the event listing before heading out.

The Hobbyist Colony Card Shop is in Edmond, directly north of Oklahoma City, reachable in minutes from I-35 or the Broadway Extension, with free parking in the shop lot. The compact footprint is part of the appeal — you can walk the whole show twice in an afternoon and price-compare the same card across multiple vendors without covering a mile of convention floor.

The crowd runs local: Edmond and north OKC collectors, TCG players, families, and flippers hunting raw cards worth grading. It is one of the friendliest entry points in the metro for someone attending their first card show, and shop staff will genuinely help a newcomer understand pricing, population reports and what is worth submitting for grading.

For the best experience, arrive at Saturday open before the fresh boxes get picked, bring cash plus Venmo and Zelle, and carry a want list. Sleeve and top-load anything you buy raw, and bring a hard case for slabs. Save Sunday afternoon for negotiating. Follow Fire Ant and The Hobbyist Colony Card Shop on social media for vendor announcements, giveaways and confirmed hours.
