The Franklin Sports Card Show fills the Johnson County Shrine Club on Saturday, October 17, 2026, giving the south side of the Indianapolis metro a free, no-fuss Saturday show without the drive up I-65 into the city. Franklin has a strong small-town sports culture, from Franklin College football to deep high school basketball roots, and that local passion shows up on the tables.
This is a sports-first room. Expect baseball, football and basketball as the core categories, with Colts, Pacers, Reds and Cubs inventory well represented and a good amount of Indiana college material from IU, Purdue, Notre Dame and Butler. Vintage sellers typically bring 1960s through 1980s Topps runs, star cards in mid grade and organized commons for set builders. Modern collectors can dig through Panini Prizm, Donruss Optic, Select, Topps Chrome and Bowman Chrome singles, rookie parallels and autographs, with graded PSA, BGS and SGC slabs in the locked cases. It is also common to find a few hockey, racing and Indy 500 items, some autographed memorabilia and a table or two of Pokemon for the kids who tag along.
Hours are 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Eastern. Admission is free and parking is free. Children are welcome throughout the day, and the relaxed pace makes this a good first show for young collectors.
The Johnson County Shrine Club is located at 751 West King Street, Franklin, IN 46131, on the west edge of town and a short drive from I-65 exit 90. From Greenwood, Whiteland or Bargersville you can be there in about fifteen minutes, and from downtown Indianapolis in roughly thirty-five. The club hall is single-level with a lot right outside the door, so hauling in a box of cards to sell or trade is easy.
Who should attend? Set builders and vintage hunters will appreciate the patient, conversational pace. Families looking for an inexpensive Saturday outing will find it welcoming. Sellers with a collection to move should bring it along, because dealers at small-town shows are often buyers as much as sellers. Serious high-end investors will want to keep expectations realistic, but occasionally the best finds turn up precisely at shows like this, where estate collections from the surrounding counties land on the table first.
To get the most out of the show, arrive near the 10:00 AM opening, when fresh inventory is still on top. Bring cash in twenties and smaller bills, since many small-show dealers prefer it and will round down for cash. Carry a written want list, penny sleeves and top loaders, and do a full lap before committing on bigger purchases. When you buy several cards from one table, ask for a package price. Downtown Franklin and its courthouse square are just minutes away if you want lunch afterward.
