🎪 About This Event

The Fresno Card and Collectible Show brings a full weekend of buying, selling and trading to Valdez Hall inside the Fresno Convention Center, and it is the largest two-day collectibles event on the Central Valley calendar this August. Produced by World of Sports Memorabilia, the same team behind the San Francisco and Silicon Valley Card and Collectible Shows, this stop draws dealers from across California and turns downtown Fresno into a weekend-long trading floor. If you have been waiting for a show big enough to justify clearing your schedule, this is the one.

The dealer floor is deliberately broad. Sports card tables run deep on baseball, basketball and football, with strong secondary representation in hockey, soccer, boxing and UFC. Expect a heavy mix of modern sealed wax alongside vintage singles, graded slabs from PSA, BGS and SGC, and raw boxes for the set builders. Trading card game vendors carry Pokemon in volume — sealed product, Japanese imports, and single cards from Base Set through the current standard rotation — plus Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Disney Lorcana. Rounding out the floor are game-used memorabilia, autographed jerseys and balls, comics, Funko Pops, vintage toys and collectible supplies.

Hours run both days of the weekend. Saturday, August 22 is the bigger and busier of the two days, with the fullest dealer roster and the largest crowd. Sunday, August 23 is the quieter day and traditionally the better one for negotiating — dealers who would rather sell than pack up are noticeably more flexible in the final two hours. Doors open at 10:00 AM each morning. Closing time has not been published by the promoter; confirm before making late-afternoon plans.

Admission pricing for this Fresno stop had not been posted at the time of listing. World of Sports Memorabilia shows in this region typically run a modest general admission fee with children admitted free alongside a paying adult, and some stops offer an early-access ticket that gets you on the floor an hour before general admission. Check the show listing or the promoter's social channels for current ticketing before you drive out.

Valdez Hall sits at 848 M Street in downtown Fresno, part of the Fresno Convention and Entertainment Center campus. Paid parking is available in the adjacent convention center garage and in surface lots along M and Ventura, and street parking is generally easy on Sunday. The hall is fully climate-controlled with wide aisles, which matters in late August in Fresno.

This show suits just about everyone. Families will find plenty of affordable dime-box and quarter-box material to keep kids busy. Serious collectors get access to graded inventory that rarely surfaces in the Valley. Dealers use it as a restocking trip. First-timers should not be intimidated — Fresno shows have a friendly, low-pressure reputation.

A few tips. Arrive at open on Saturday if you are hunting specific cards, because the best singles move within the first ninety minutes. Bring cash; many tables offer a discount for it and not every vendor runs a card reader. Carry a written want list and a price reference on your phone. Bring penny sleeves and a small box for anything you buy raw. And walk the entire floor once before spending anything — the same card often sits at two tables at very different prices.
