🃏 About This Event

The Labor Day weekend G.A.S. Card Show lands at the Stoney Creek Hotel Conference Center in Independence, Missouri on Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6, 2026 — 160 tables, free admission both days, and one of the largest free card shows anywhere in the Midwest. Greatest American Sportscard Shows built the Independence weekend into a metro institution, and the holiday timing means out-of-town dealers and collectors who might otherwise skip a regional show make the trip.

One hundred sixty tables buys real variety. The sports side runs deep on MLB — Royals inventory in particular, but also full vintage Topps and Bowman runs — alongside NFL with heavy Chiefs representation, NBA rookie autos and prizm, NHL, and growing UFC, boxing and soccer sections. Graded material from PSA, BGS and SGC fills multiple cases, and several dealers work exclusively in pre-1980 raw. On the trading card game side you will find Pokemon sealed product and singles, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana and Dragon Ball Z. Memorabilia dealers bring signed jerseys, helmets, photographs, game-used pieces, comics and Funko Pops.

Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. again on Sunday, September 6. Two-day shows behave differently than one-day rooms: Saturday morning is where the best material moves, but Sunday afternoon is where the deals live, because dealers do not want to haul unsold inventory home over a holiday weekend.

Admission is completely free on both days. There is no VIP tier, no early-bird upgrade and no charge for children. Nothing to buy in advance — walk in either day.

Stoney Creek Hotel Conference Center is at 18011 Bass Pro Drive in Independence, immediately off I-70 next to the Bass Pro Shops complex. Parking is free and plentiful in the hotel lot. The conference center is a single connected space on one level, and the attached hotel offers rooms for travelling dealers and collectors. Restaurants and the Independence Center shopping area are minutes away.

The scale makes this a genuinely good show for everyone. Families get free entry and a huge, browsable floor. Casual collectors can fill sets cheaply from dollar and dime boxes. Serious buyers get 160 tables of competing inventory, which is the single best condition for finding a mispriced card. Dealers get two days of traffic without an admission barrier suppressing walk-ups.

Strategy for a room this size: sweep the entire floor before you buy, mapping which tables carry what. Bring more cash than you think you need, and bring it in mixed denominations. A written want list keeps you honest across 160 tables. Return Sunday afternoon for the same material at a better price if you can spare the second trip, and do not hesitate to make a reasonable bundled offer late on day two.

The full G.A.S. tour calendar, dealer table pricing and hotel discount codes are published at gas-shows.com. The promoter posts show reminders and floor updates on Facebook in the week beforehand.
