About This Event

The Johnson County Card Show, presented by Shake & Bake, returns to Homefield in Olathe on Saturday, September 12, 2026 for a one-day, free-admission Saturday show that lands right at the start of football season — the busiest sports-card stretch of the Kansas City hobby calendar. Hosted at the Homefield sports and events complex in Olathe, this recurring show turns the event hall into a packed dealer floor and consistently pulls Kansas City-metro collectors driving in from Olathe, Overland Park, Lenexa, Shawnee, Gardner, Spring Hill, Leawood, Kansas City KS, downtown Kansas City MO, and across the state line from Independence and Lee's Summit. September timing means Kansas City Chiefs fever is peaking, the Royals are in the playoff hunt, and NFL and college football rookie cards are the hottest tickets on the floor.

While every corner of the hobby is represented, this show skews sports-heavy. Tables stock deep MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, MMA, soccer, and college football inventory across every era — vintage Topps, Bowman, Fleer, Goudey, Play Ball, and pre-war tobacco runs from the early 1900s through the 1980s, junk-wax 1990s monster boxes, and modern Panini Prizm, Donruss Optic, Select, Mosaic, Topps Chrome, Bowman Draft, and premium National Treasures, Flawless, and Immaculate. Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Isiah Pacheco cards, Kansas City Royals Bobby Witt Jr. rookies, Sporting Kansas City, Kansas City Current, Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats, and Missouri Tigers inventory moves fast and is a local signature you will not find at out-of-region shows. TCG dealers round out the floor with Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece TCG, and Disney Lorcana singles and sealed. Locked cases display PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC graded slabs alongside autographed memorabilia, game-used relics, vintage comics, and Funko Pops.

Doors open at 9:00 AM CDT and run through 3:00 PM CDT — six hours of trading time that fits neatly into a fall Saturday morning before kickoff. Admission is free for all ages, one of the best low-cost family card shows in the Kansas City market, and there is no formal VIP early-entry, so the door open is the door open for everyone. Kids are warmly welcomed and dealers regularly hand out free packs and singles to engaged younger collectors.

Homefield is located in Olathe, KS, minutes off Interstate 35 and Kansas Highway 7 with quick access from 151st Street and the US-169 corridor. The complex is climate-controlled, ADA-accessible, and laid out with wide aisles, and on-site concessions plus nearby Olathe dining make a mid-show break easy. Free parking is plentiful in the large on-site lot.

This show fits every collector type — first-timers, families, Chiefs and Royals fans, casual collectors, modern flippers, prospect hunters, and vintage hunters. For the best experience, arrive at 9:00 AM sharp for first dibs on freshly-stocked tables, bring cash plus Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal backups, and carry a sorted want list with your top Chiefs and Royals targets. Pack penny sleeves, top loaders, and a hard-sided slab case, and save the last hour for dealer negotiation. Follow the Kansas City Metro Area Sportscards community and kansascardshow.com for vendor previews and the confirmed Homefield address.
