🃏 About This Event

The Mid State Collectors Expo is the largest free-admission collectibles show in the Fresno-Clovis area, and the Sunday, September 27 edition brings more than 100 vendor tables to the Clovis Veterans Memorial District. MSCX has grown quickly by doing the unglamorous things well: a wide vendor mix, a floor plan you can actually navigate, no admission barrier, and organizers who communicate.

The 100-plus tables cover an unusually broad range. Sports card dealers bring baseball, basketball, football and hockey across vintage and modern, with graded slabs in the cases and deep raw boxes for set builders. Soccer, boxing, UFC and racing appear in smaller but real numbers. Trading card game vendors handle Pokemon heavily — sealed, singles, Japanese product and graded — plus Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana and Dragon Ball Super. Beyond cards you will find autographed memorabilia, comics, Funko Pops, vintage toys, sports figures, anime merchandise and hobby supplies. It is a genuinely mixed show, which makes it a good option when the people you are bringing collect different things.

Hours run 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Early Access runs 9:00 to 9:45 AM as a separate paid ticket for collectors who want first look at the tables before the general crowd arrives — worth considering if you are hunting specific high-demand cards, because at a 100-table show the good singles do get picked over.

General admission is FREE. That is the headline and it is not a promotional gimmick — MSCX has kept free general entry as a core policy. Early Access and raffle tickets are the paid options, available through the link in the Mid State Collectors Expo social bio. Raffle prizes are drawn during the show and the giveaways are a genuine draw for families.

MSCX has also partnered with the Card Catcher app for this edition. Attendees can search for specific cards, locate the vendors carrying them, and view the MSCX vendor map from their phone. At a show this size that is a meaningful time-saver — instead of walking 100 tables hoping to spot a card, you can search it. Download the app before September 27; the organizers announce the show ID in the days leading up to the event.

The Clovis Veterans Memorial District is at 808 4th Street in old town Clovis. Parking is free in the district lots and on surrounding streets. The venue is indoors, air-conditioned and accessible, with restrooms on site and food available. Old town Clovis is immediately outside, so lunch, coffee and a walkable historic district are all within a block or two.

This show works for nearly everyone. Families come for the free entry, the raffles and the low-pressure atmosphere. Casual collectors get the biggest floor in the county without paying to walk in. Serious buyers should pay for Early Access and use the app. Dealers treat MSCX as a restocking stop. First-timers could not ask for a lower-risk introduction to the hobby.

Tips: download Card Catcher ahead of time, bring cash, bring supplies for raw cards, and buy raffle tickets when you walk in rather than remembering at 3:45. Walk the whole floor once before spending. And if you want the best material, the 9:00 AM Early Access ticket is the single highest-value 45 minutes at this show.
