🎪 About This Event

The MN State Fair Collectors Convention takes over the North End Event Center on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Falcon Heights on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and the venue alone makes it worth the trip. Hosted by P and P TCG and Collectibles, this is a full convention-scale show on the same grounds that host the Great Minnesota Get-Together each summer, running in a purpose-built event hall with the space, lighting and parking that come with a state fairground.

The floor covers the whole hobby rather than specializing. Sports card dealers bring baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer, UFC and boxing in raw, graded and sealed forms, with vintage running back to the fifties and sixties alongside the newest releases. Trading card game vendors handle Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana and Dragon Ball with singles, sealed product and graded slabs. Around the edges you will find comics, Funko Pops, action figures, video games, autographed memorabilia, game-used relics, vintage advertising and hobby supplies. Because table pricing here runs one hundred twenty-five to one hundred seventy-five dollars, the dealer roster tends toward established sellers with real inventory rather than casual weekend tables.

Hours are Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a single-day format that keeps the room full and active for the whole seven hours. Admission is free and parking is free, which is genuinely unusual for a fairgrounds event and removes the two costs that most often deter families from attending a convention-format show. There is no VIP tier and no advance ticket, so everyone enters together at ten.

The North End Event Center sits on the north side of the fairgrounds in Falcon Heights, between Saint Paul and Roseville, with easy access from Snelling Avenue, Larpenteur Avenue and Interstate 94. Parking is on the fairgrounds itself, so there is effectively unlimited space and a short walk to the door. The hall is fully indoors, climate controlled, level and wide open, which makes it comfortable with a stroller or a wheelchair and easy to navigate even when busy. Restrooms are on site, and there are numerous restaurants along Snelling and Como Avenue within a few minutes' drive.

The free admission makes this an ideal show for families and first-timers, and the convention scale means serious collectors will find enough depth to justify the drive from anywhere in the state. Set builders, player collectors, graded card buyers, TCG players and memorabilia hunters all have a reason to be in the room.

Come early for selection. A free-admission show at a well-known venue draws a strong morning crowd, and the best vintage typically moves before noon. Bring cash in small bills for negotiating. Bring want lists and, if you collect graded cards, look up recent comparable sales before you arrive so you can evaluate case pricing on the spot. Bring supplies for raw purchases. And take a full lap before you spend, because the pricing spread at a show with this many established dealers rewards comparison.
