🃏 About This Event

October's Oak Creek Sports Card Show fills the Salvation Army Community Center on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and the first-Saturday-of-the-month rhythm makes this the most dependable card show on the Milwaukee south side. Sponsored by Fat Daddy's Sports, it has been running long enough that regulars arrive knowing which dealer keeps the vintage Braves box under the table and which one always has the fresh football break inventory.

October is a distinctive month for this show. The Brewers season has just closed, which reliably sends postseason and season-recap material onto tables, and the Packers are deep enough into their schedule that rookie performances have started sorting the football market. Meanwhile the year's flagship baseball products have fully hit, so modern buyers get a wide selection at prices that have finally settled from release-week highs.

The floor covers the whole hobby. Baseball dealers run from 1950s Topps and Bowman through 1970s and 1980s complete sets, junk-wax commons boxes deep enough to finish a run in an afternoon, and modern Prizm, Optic, Select, Mosaic and Topps Chrome. Football is heavy on Green Bay across every era, from Lombardi-era vintage through current rookie cards. Basketball tables carry Bucks and league-wide modern product, and dealers who specialize in hockey, UFC, boxing, soccer and racing round the room out. Wisconsin Badgers and Marquette Golden Eagles material shows up consistently. Several vendors stock Pokemon from vintage WOTC through current Scarlet and Violet, plus Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Disney Lorcana. Locked cases hold PSA, SGC, BGS and CGC slabs from starter prices to key cards, and around the perimeter you will find autographed memorabilia, signed helmets and baseballs, team programs, comics, Funko Pops and supplies at prices that beat online after shipping.

Doors open at 9:00 AM Central and the show runs until 4:00 PM Central — seven hours, no early-entry tier, no VIP. Admission is a one-dollar donation to the Salvation Army, children are free with an adult, and no advance ticket exists to buy. The donation model is not a gimmick; it has kept this venue available to the hobby for years and it is worth dropping more than a dollar in the bucket if you have a good day.

The venue is at 8853 South Howell Avenue in Oak Creek, about fifteen minutes south of downtown Milwaukee, close to Interstate 94 and Mitchell International Airport. Parking is free, on-site and roomy. The hall is level, climate-controlled and ADA-accessible, with aisles wide enough to navigate comfortably even when the room fills mid-morning.

This is a strong show for beginners, families, set builders and working dealers alike. If you have never been to a card show, the one-dollar door and the low-pressure atmosphere make it about as easy an introduction as exists. If you are experienced, the value is in fresh raw inventory that has not been listed online. Practical tips: arrive at 9:00 AM for the best material, take one full lap before spending, bring cash as your primary payment with Venmo or Zelle as backup, and carry a want list sorted by sport and set. Pack penny sleeves, top loaders and a hard case for the drive home, and save serious negotiating for after 2:00 PM. Updates post to the Fat Daddy's Sports Facebook page.
