🃏 About This Event

The Oak Creek Vintage Sports Collectors Club Show returns to the Salvation Army Community Center on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and for collectors on Milwaukee's south side this is the show that quietly delivers the best old cardboard in the region. Where the bigger convention-hall shows chase modern breaks and autograph lines, the Vintage Club leans hard into the pre-1980 material that built the hobby, and the dealers who set up here are the ones who have been buying Wisconsin collections out of basements and estate sales for thirty years.

The floor skews heavily toward vintage baseball. Expect deep 1950s and 1960s Topps and Bowman runs, Post and Kellogg's oddball issues, 1970s Topps in grade, and the kind of raw commons boxes that let a set builder knock a dozen holes out of a want list in one afternoon. Milwaukee Braves and Milwaukee Brewers material is a house specialty, and there is usually a Green Bay Packers table stacked with 1950s and 1960s Topps and Philadelphia football alongside Bart Starr and Ray Nitschke signed pieces. Beyond baseball and football you will find vintage basketball, hockey, boxing and non-sport issues, plus a scattering of modern Panini Prizm, Optic and Topps Chrome for collectors who bring a kid along. A handful of tables carry Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! singles, though trading card games are a side dish here rather than the main course. Locked cases hold PSA, SGC and Beckett slabs ranging from twenty-dollar commons up to genuine key cards, and the back wall usually mixes in programs, pennants, ticket stubs, yearbooks and Silver Age comics.

This is a single-day show running 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Central. Admission is a one-dollar donation to the Salvation Army at the door, children get in free with a parent, and there is no advance ticketing or VIP tier — you simply walk in and pay at the table. The organizers have a standing habit of putting free packs into kids' hands when they show real interest, which makes this an unintimidating first card show for a family.

The Salvation Army Community Center sits at 8853 South Howell Avenue in Oak Creek, about fifteen minutes south of downtown Milwaukee, minutes off Interstate 94 and close to Mitchell International Airport. The hall is climate-controlled with wide aisles, and the free on-site lot is large enough that you will not circle for a space even at the midday peak.

Who should come? Set builders, vintage specialists, Braves and Packers collectors, and anyone who would rather dig through a monster box than watch a break. Serious dealers restocking vintage inventory make this a monthly stop. To get the most out of it, be at the door at 9:00 AM sharp, because the sharpest raw vintage leaves the building in the first ninety minutes. Bring cash as your primary tool and Venmo or Zelle as backup, since not every table runs a card reader. Carry a written want list sorted by set and year, pack penny sleeves, top loaders and a hard case, and save your bigger swings for the last hour when dealers would rather deal than repack. Check the Fat Daddy's Sports Facebook page for vendor news before you drive out.
