The Seattle Pokémon Regional Championships return to the Seattle Convention Center on Friday through Sunday, February 26–28, 2027 for one of the marquee stops on the Play! Pokémon North America Regional circuit. Held in the heart of downtown Seattle, the Seattle Regional is a true destination event, drawing hundreds of the best Pokémon TCG, VGC, and Pokémon GO competitors from across the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, California, Idaho, and beyond — all chasing Championship Points, Day 2 invitations, and a path to the Pokémon World Championships. With the city's collecting community already strong, the Regional also becomes a massive weekend gathering for casual fans, collectors, and families.
The event runs the full Play! Pokémon competitive slate. The Pokémon TCG main event hosts Masters, Seniors, and Juniors competitors across Standard and Limited formats, with side events including Win-A-Box satellites, League Challenges, and casual play space throughout the weekend. The VGC video game championship runs in parallel on Nintendo Switch with the current ruleset, and Pokémon GO qualifiers round out the competitive offerings. Major Pokémon vendors set up alongside the play floor with deep singles inventory — vintage WOTC Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, Neo, and Skyridge through EX-era and Diamond & Pearl nostalgia, modern Scarlet & Violet hits, Japanese exclusives, promos, jumbo cards, trophy cards, alt-arts, and graded slabs from PSA, BGS, CGC, and SGC. Sealed product, sleeves, deck boxes, playmats, and tournament-legal supplies are available all weekend, and exclusive Regional Championship promo cards are distributed to competitors.
Friday hours typically run from midday into the evening for late registration, side events, and the Travel Award meet-up. Saturday is the main event with early doors, Round 1 in the morning, and play running through evening cuts. Sunday Day 2 begins mid-morning and runs through Top 8 finals, usually wrapping mid-to-late afternoon Pacific time. Tournament registration is handled through the official Play! Pokémon and RK9 registration portals, with entry fees set per the standard Regional schedule. Spectator admission is free, and walk-up vendor and marketplace access is open during play hours.
The Seattle Convention Center is located at 705 Pike Street, Seattle, WA 98101, in the heart of downtown directly served by the Westlake light rail station and countless bus lines. The venue is climate-controlled, ADA-accessible, and laid out across large convention halls with wide aisles. Paid parking garages surround the center, and hundreds of downtown hotels, restaurants, and attractions — Pike Place Market is just blocks away — make it ideal for traveling competitors.
This Regional fits competitive players first: anyone chasing Championship Points, a Day 2 finish, or a Worlds invite should be on the floor early Saturday. But it's also a major draw for collectors hunting singles and slabs, casual fans who want to watch the Top 8 stream live, and families with Junior and Senior division players, who will find a welcoming environment with dedicated play areas.
For the best experience, register early through the official portal, arrive Friday for late registration to dodge Saturday-morning lines, and bring a tournament-legal deck list, sleeves, dice, and damage counters plus snacks and water for the long rounds. Spectators should come Sunday for the Top 8 cut. Follow @PlayPokemon on Twitter, Instagram, and Twitch and check championships.pokemon.com for the confirmed 2027 schedule.
