🃏 About This Event

The Southside Sports Card Show returns to American Legion Post 252 in Greenwood on Sunday, August 16, 2026, serving the stretch of the Indianapolis metro that too often has to drive north to find a decent show. Johnson County has quietly become one of the fastest-growing collecting pockets in central Indiana, and this bimonthly Sunday show has grown right along with it — a comfortable legion hall, a solid dealer roster and the kind of unhurried Sunday pace that makes it easy to spend three hours and lose track of time.

The inventory mix here is broad. Sports tables cover baseball, football and basketball most heavily, with strong Colts and Pacers representation and a surprising amount of Indiana high school and college material — IU, Purdue and Butler alumni cards move well in this room. Vintage sellers bring pre-1980 Topps, Bowman, Fleer and Donruss, including plenty of raw commons and mid-grade stars priced for set builders rather than investors. Modern collectors will find Prizm, Optic, Mosaic, Select, Topps Chrome and Bowman Chrome in singles and sealed, plus a steady flow of case-break leftovers at reasonable numbers. Trading card game dealers cover Pokemon most consistently, with Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Lorcana appearing depending on who books tables that month. Rounding it out: graded slabs in locked cases, autographed baseballs and photos, a handful of comic long boxes, Funko Pops and supplies including sleeves, top loaders, one-touches and storage boxes.

Doors open at 10:00 AM Eastern and the show typically runs into the mid-afternoon. Admission is free and parking in the legion lot is free and plentiful. The post usually has its kitchen or bar open, so a cheap lunch is available without leaving the building. Children are welcome throughout.

American Legion Post 252 is at 334 US 31 South in Greenwood, IN 46142, directly accessible from US 31 and only a few minutes from I-65 exit 99. Collectors coming from Franklin, Whiteland, Bargersville, Beech Grove and the south side of Indianapolis can be there in under twenty minutes. The hall is single-level, air-conditioned and ADA accessible, with aisles wide enough to move a rolling case comfortably.

This is a good show for casual collectors, families and set builders in particular. The Sunday scheduling means it does not compete with the Saturday circuit, so dealers who work other shows often bring fresh, unpicked inventory. First-timers will find it approachable — no one here will make you feel out of place for asking what a card is worth. Serious dealers use it as a buying show as much as a selling one, so bring anything you want to move.

For the best results, arrive close to opening, bring cash in small denominations, and carry a written want list. Ask dealers directly whether they buy — many will make an offer on the spot. Bring top loaders and a small carrying box for anything you pick up. For table rentals or to confirm the August 16 date and end time, call the show organizer at 317-797-5971.
