🃏 About This Event

The October edition of the Sun City Card Show runs Saturday and Sunday at the Starlight Event Center, and Sunday, October 18, 2026 is sold and listed as a standalone session. October in El Paso is the single best month of the year to spend a day indoors digging through boxes: the triple-digit summer has broken, the fall sports calendar is fully underway, and the room is genuinely comfortable rather than a survival exercise.

What separates the October weekend from the rest of the Sun City calendar is timing against the release schedule. By mid-October the current-year Panini Prizm Football, Donruss Optic Football, and Topps Chrome Basketball product is circulating in quantity, NBA season is opening, and MLB postseason results are actively moving prices on player cards day to day. That volatility is fun to shop: a dealer who priced a card on Thursday may be sitting on a bargain or a windfall by Sunday afternoon. Sports tables carry MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, MMA, soccer, and college football across every era, from pre-war tobacco and vintage Topps, Bowman, Fleer, and Goudey through 1990s junk-wax monster boxes and modern premium Topps Dynasty, National Treasures, Flawless, and Immaculate. The Borderland flavor is strong: Liga MX soccer, Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez boxing, lucha libre, El Paso Chihuahuas, UTEP Miners, and New Mexico State Aggies inventory all show up here.

The TCG half of the room is deep. Pokemon dominates, with singles and sealed running from vintage WOTC Base Set through current Scarlet & Violet and Japanese-exclusive product, and October traffic skews younger and family-heavy. Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Z Fusion World, and Digimon all have dedicated tables. Locked cases display PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC graded slabs from budget commons to high-end vintage keys.

Sunday hours are 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time. General admission is three dollars, kids twelve and under are free with a paying adult, and Sunday-only tickets are available at the door or online through suncitycardshow915.com. Door prizes, pack giveaways, and dealer raffles run throughout the day while supplies last.

Starlight Event Center is located at 6650 Continental Drive, El Paso, TX 79925, on the east side near the airport with direct access from I-10 and Loop 375. Parking is free and on site, the room is one open climate-controlled ballroom, and lighting is good enough to properly inspect surfaces and corners.

Who should come: families, Pokemon collectors, bargain hunters, and anyone building a set rather than chasing a single grail. Serious vintage buyers should still come Saturday for first pick, then return Sunday to negotiate on anything that did not sell. Tips: take a full lap before spending, bring cash alongside Venmo and Zelle, carry a want list sorted by sport and TCG title, and pack sleeves, top loaders, and a hard slab case. Follow @suncitycardshow915 for vendor lineups and confirmation of both days' hours.
