About This Event

TCG Clash brings its trading card game marketplace back to the Holiday Inn Newport News - City Center on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The show has built a following on the Virginia Peninsula by doing one thing well: putting a room full of TCG-focused vendors under hotel ballroom lighting and letting collectors work the tables at their own pace. If your collection lives in binders and deck boxes rather than card savers, this is your Sunday.

Pokemon dominates the floor. Vendors bring sealed booster boxes, elite trainer boxes, collection tins and blister packs from current sets, plus back stock from earlier Scarlet & Violet and Sword & Shield releases. Singles run from bulk commons priced by the hundred up to alt arts, special illustration rares and graded vintage from the Base Set and Neo eras. Japanese and Korean imports show up regularly, which matters if you are chasing a specific art treatment that never got an English print. Magic: The Gathering has a solid contingent covering commander staples, modern-legal reprints, sealed collector boosters and older bordered cards. Yu-Gi-Oh! vendors carry meta staples, ghost and starlight rares, and structure decks. One Piece, Lorcana, Digimon, Flesh and Blood and Dragon Ball Super all get table space. A few sports card dealers work the edges of the room, so there is usually something for the baseball and football side too.

Doors open at 9:00 AM and the show runs through roughly 4:00 PM, a single Sunday session. Admission has historically been free or a low walk-up fee at the door, and parking at the hotel is free and plentiful in the City Center complex. There is no VIP tier and no advance ticketing to manage, so plan to simply arrive. Children are welcome and get in free with an adult.

The Holiday Inn at 980 Omni Boulevard sits inside Newport News City Center, which means restaurants, coffee and a walkable plaza are steps away if you want to break mid-show. The ballroom is climate controlled with clean flooring, and restrooms are immediately off the lobby. For anyone driving in from Williamsburg, Hampton or across the water from Norfolk and Virginia Beach, the Interstate 64 access is straightforward.

Who should attend: deck builders who need singles now rather than in a shipping window, Pokemon collectors chasing set completion, parents whose kids have outgrown retail blister packs, and traders who want to move a binder without paying marketplace fees. Competitive players will find playable staples at sane prices; casual collectors will find plenty to browse without feeling out of place.

Tips for the best experience: bring cash, bring your trade binder, and bring a want list sorted by set so you can scan a vendor's stock quickly. Ask about bulk rates if you are buying more than a handful of singles, because most vendors here will bundle. Walk the full room before committing to a big purchase. If you are selling, expect offers based on recent sold comps rather than listed asks, and know your floor before you sit down.

Watch the show's event listing and social channels in the week before September 6 for the confirmed vendor list and any door price.
