They are the three major third-party grading companies, and all assign a 1–10 condition grade in a sealed slab. PSA is the most widely recognized and generally the most liquid for resale, especially sports and vintage. BGS (Beckett) is known for sub-grades (centering, corners, edges, surface) and its coveted Black Label 10. CGC came from comic grading and has grown fast in Pokémon and TCG circles, often at competitive prices. For most sellers, PSA fetches the strongest premiums, but the best choice depends on the card, the market, and current turnaround times. A card shop that submits regularly can advise which fits your card.
