Fortunes Untold

Fortunes Untold is a newer Lexington weekend card shop with clear pricing on Pokemon singles, sealed product and graded cards, plus an owner open to trades.

Fortunes Untold began as an online operation and graduated to a real storefront in the Professional Heights complex off Nicholasville Road, and the shop still feels like a seller who loves talking cards face to face. Shelving is organized and the singles are easy to scan, so first-time visitors can find what they need without digging through disorder.

The mix leans toward Pokemon but covers more than one shelf: loose singles, sealed boxes and packs, and a section of professionally graded cards for people who want a finished slab rather than a raw copy. Pricing is posted openly, which saves the awkward haggling dance and makes it easy to compare against online listings before you buy. Regulars describe the owner as down to earth, and several have landed trades here that would have been hard to arrange through a shipping label.

Because the owner built a customer base before opening the doors, many of the people who show up already know each other, which gives the room a neighborhood feel despite its short week. If you have been looking for Pokemon cards in Lexington from a seller who will help you finish a promo set or track down the last missing card, this is a good place to ask.

The schedule is the thing to plan around. Fortunes Untold is closed Monday through Thursday, opens Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM, and runs 11 AM to 5 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. Friday evening works well after work, while Saturday mornings are calmer than the afternoon rush.

The shop sits in Suite 20, in a professional park rather than a retail strip, so use the address to navigate and look for the unit number. Bring trade binders if you have them.
