A newly expanded Shreveport card shop hosting 60-100 weekly Magic players across Standard, One Piece, Union Arena, and Riftbound tournaments.

The Gamers XP doubled its footprint in late 2025, moving across the street to a much larger Shreveport-Barksdale Highway building after outgrowing its original 36-space parking lot. The new space, with room for roughly 400 cars, reflects a trading card shop Shreveport's tabletop community had already outgrown once, and the shop has kept expanding its event calendar to match the bigger footprint.

Magic: The Gathering remains the backbone of the business, with co-owner Chance Mahon telling local news the shop supports 60 to 100 unique Magic players every week through a standing Tuesday Standard Showdown and regular constructed nights. Pokemon, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Union Arena, Disney Lorcana, and Star Wars: Unlimited round out the card wall, each with its own weekly event slot rather than being treated as filler inventory.

A TCGPlayer-integrated singles marketplace keeps the shop's card pricing current with the broader secondary market, and the buy/sell/trade-in counter gives local players an easy way to convert duplicates into store credit. Beyond cards, the shop runs a bookable private game room and hosts a chess club, extending its reach past the trading card crowd into Shreveport's wider board-game and tabletop scene.

Hours run late almost every night, with the shop staying open past 10pm on weeknights and until midnight on Fridays, a schedule built around a community that treats the store as a hangout as much as a retailer. The relocation and expansion were driven directly by parking overflow at the old spot, a clear signal of how much the local Union Arena, One Piece, and Magic scenes have grown here.

For visitors from Bossier City or further out in the Ark-La-Tex region, the new location's size makes it worth the drive on tournament nights; the old spot regularly turned players away once the lot filled, and that pressure is largely gone now that the building has effectively doubled in size.
