Brookline Blvd's neighborhood geek hub: deep Magic: The Gathering stock and prereleases, D&D gear, board games and new comics every week in Pittsburgh.
Brookline Boulevard has a handful of small-business anchors, and Geekadrome is the one where the neighborhood's gamers end up. The storefront is compact, but it uses every inch: new comics and graphic novels along one side, board games and tabletop RPG books on the shelves, and a counter and cases devoted to Magic: The Gathering.
Magic is the trading card heart of the shop. Geekadrome carries current sealed sets, Commander products and an extensive inventory of MTG singles, and it hosts prerelease events when new sets launch, giving South Hills players a close-to-home option instead of a trek across the rivers. The owner is known for teaching the game on the spot, which makes this a rare Pittsburgh card shop where a total beginner can walk in curious and leave with a starter deck and a plan.
Beyond cards, the store is a genuine all-rounder. Dungeons & Dragons players will find core books and accessories, the comic selection keeps up with weekly releases while holding a stash of older back issues, and the board game shelf covers family titles and strategy games alike. Sleeves and other supplies are on hand for anyone protecting a fresh pull.
The atmosphere is what keeps the place busy. Geekadrome has built a welcoming, family-friendly community where kids, newcomers and longtime players all get the same attention, and it has become part of the weekly routine for many Brookline households.
Hours are 11AM to 7PM Monday through Friday, 11AM to 6PM on Saturday and 11AM to 5PM on Sunday, so it is one of the few game stores in the area open every day of the week. Street parking along Brookline Blvd is usually easy outside rush hour, and the shop's website lists upcoming events and prerelease sign-ups. Prerelease weekends fill quickly, so reserve a seat early if you want to crack the newest Magic set with the Brookline crowd.
