Bowman Mega Box (May)
The flagship-year Bowman Mega Box ships with the May Bowman release. The 2025 version holds 4 packs of 10-card Bowman plus 2 exclusive Mega Chrome packs of 5 cards, 50 cards in all, at a $49.99 MSRP. The Mega Chrome packs contain a skip-numbered chrome base and Chrome Prospect set with the Mojo finish, and a parallel run from Fuchsia /299 up through Gold /50, Orange /25, Black /10, Red /5 and a Rose Gold 1/1. Autographs (Chrome Prospect Mega Autographs) are in the Mega packs but are not guaranteed. Sealed 2025 boxes are $65-$90 in August 2026; 2024 boxes run $90-$130.
Bowman Chrome Mega Box (fall)
The Bowman Chrome Mega Box is the original and still the most valuable of the three. The 2025 box, released October 8, 2025, has 5 packs of Bowman Chrome and 2 Mega Chrome packs, 5 cards per pack, again at $49.99. Its Mojo rainbow adds a Steel Metal Mojo /100 and runs to a Rose Gold Mojo 1/1, and the box includes Mega-exclusive inserts such as Bowman Ascensions, Meteoric Rise and Bowman GPK. Sealed 2025 boxes trade at $90-$125, 2024 boxes at $140-$175 and 2023 boxes at $65-$90. The 2020 Bowman Chrome Mega Box, the one that started the Target frenzy during the pandemic, still sells for $200-$300.
Bowman Draft Mega Box (winter)
Bowman Draft has had its own Mega Box in recent years, sold through Topps.com and select retail, with the same two-Mega-pack structure and Mojo Refractors of the new draft class. Draft Mega Boxes are the least chased of the three; 2024 and 2025 boxes sit at $50-$80.
Mega Case
Retail cases hold 20 Mega Boxes. Topps.com and distributors sell them, and they trade at a discount to 20 times the box price: a 2025 Bowman Chrome Mega case lists around $2,400-$2,600 at distributors in August 2026.

The 2020 Bowman Chrome Mega Box is the format's defining year because of Jasson Dominguez and the pandemic-era retail shortage; it has never fallen back to issue price. The 2024 boxes are the current "investment" year because the Mojo Refractors of Griffin, Anthony and Holliday have deep demand and the Mega inserts from that year are popular. Note that Mega Box prices swing with retail supply more than hobby boxes do: when Target restocks, prices dip, and when a year sells through, they climb.
Chase cards, parallels and hit rates
The Mojo Refractor is the reason to buy. Every Mega Chrome pack yields Mojo-finish cards, and the numbered parallels range from a few hundred down to the Rose Gold 1/1. The most-wanted cards are Mojo Refractors of a prospect's 1st Bowman Chrome card, particularly in Orange /25 and below, and the Mega Autographs, which are seeded at roughly a few per case rather than per box. The regular Bowman or Bowman Chrome packs in the box are identical to hobby-line packs and can produce standard Refractors and, rarely, autographs. Topps prints Mojo insertion ratios on the Mega pack wrappers, and they change each year, so read the wrapper rather than relying on an eBay listing.
Is Bowman Mega Box worth buying sealed?
At $49.99 retail, a Mega Box is one of the better-value Bowman formats: two Mega packs guarantee some Mojo parallels, and the base packs are the same product hobby buyers pay far more for per pack. Above $100 the math gets harder, since you are paying a collector premium for a box with no guaranteed hit. The boxes that hold value are the ones from years with a breakout prospect (2020, 2022, 2024), and sealed Mega Boxes appreciate more reliably than sealed blasters because the exclusive parallels cannot be reprinted. The main risk is supply: Topps and Target have increased Mega allocations in recent years, and 2023 and 2025 boxes show how quickly a heavily stocked year settles near issue price.
How to spot fakes and resealed boxes
Mega Boxes are the most-resealed box in baseball. Sellers open the box, remove the two Mega Chrome packs (or weigh them for autographs), and re-wrap the box with a heat gun. A factory Mega Box has tight, clear wrap with a single straight seam on the bottom and small factory air vents; a re-wrapped box shows a rough or doubled seam, wrap that bubbles at the corners, or a box that feels soft because the packs have been shuffled. Count the packs through the wrap and compare to the year's configuration (7 packs for 2025 Bowman Chrome Mega, 6 for 2025 Bowman Mega). Individual Mega packs sold loose are almost always searched.
