Hobby Box
The 2019-20 hobby box is 1 pack of 10 cards: 9 autographs plus one other card. Every card in the product is numbered to 10 or less, every signature is on-card, and every card ships in a magnetic holder. Steel City Collectibles listed the box at $23,999.95 on release, which remains the reference price because so few boxes have traded since.
FOTL (First Off The Line)
Panini sold Eminence FOTL through a Dutch auction rather than at a fixed price: bidding opened at $50,000 per box and the price stepped down until it reached $20,000 or the allocation sold out. Each FOTL box guaranteed a one-of-one Rookie Autographs Platinum Bar card of Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, RJ Barrett or Rui Hachimura, with photo variations, plus eight further autographs and one other card. That sale format is unique in modern basketball and is the reason FOTL Eminence is discussed far more often than it is bought.
Hobby Case
A case is a single box. There is no case-level structure to chase, no case hits and no multi-box discount, which is worth saying plainly because listings occasionally describe a one-box case as though it were something more.

There is no honest way to publish a tight price on sealed Eminence. Public sales databases carry no tracked hobby-box entry for the line, sales are private or through auction houses, and the range above is a wide band anchored on the original list price rather than a set of comparable transactions. If you are pricing a box, treat the $23,999.95 list and any auction-house result you can verify as the only real data points, and expect the actual number to be negotiated rather than looked up.
Chase cards, parallels and hit rates
Every card in Eminence is scarce by construction, so the hierarchy is about material rather than numbering. The signature cards are the Platinum Bar and precious-metal inserts, which embed silver, gold, platinum or diamond elements directly into the card, alongside Eminence Signatures, Dual and Triple Autographs and the NBA logo and laundry-tag patch cards. With nine autographs in a ten-card box and everything numbered /10 or less, there is no filler and no base set to speak of.
Do not expect published pull rates to be useful at this print level. The odds on the pack are the only reliable source, and with so few boxes produced, anecdotal reports from breaks are not a sample.
Is Panini Eminence worth buying sealed?
For almost every collector the honest answer is that this is not a product to buy sealed. A box costs as much as a car, the outcome rests on nine signatures whose combined market value is very unlikely to reach the box price, and the resale market is so thin that exiting a position can take months and an auction consignment fee. Where Eminence does make sense is as a trophy purchase or as a way to acquire specific ultra-low-numbered cards you already want, with eyes open about the cost. The one structural point in its favour is that the line is genuinely finished: it has not been produced since 2019-20, and Panini has no NBA licence to revive it under.
How to spot fakes and resealed boxes
At this price, verification matters more than any visual tell. Buy through an auction house, a distributor, or a shop willing to stand behind the box, and pay in a way that gives you recourse. On the box itself, look for uniform factory shrink over the printed outer box with a clean seam, no adhesive residue, and no distortion around the flap where a blade would have gone in. The inner pack should show no crease or flex marks. Ask for a video of the box being turned over rather than still photos, confirm the UPC and season on the box art, and be extremely sceptical of any Eminence box offered well below the known list price or sold by an account with no high-end history.

Sealed Eminence rarely lists publicly. The realistic routes are high-end auction houses, distributors clearing old allocation, and dealers at large shows.
