The 2022 hobby box is six packs of eight cards, forty-eight cards in total, at a $324.95 MSRP. The hobby box is the only configuration with the hobby-exclusive autograph checklist, including Essentials Autographs, which is why it carries a large premium over every retail format.

Mega Box

That argues quietly in favour of the 2019 and 2020 boxes as long-term holds and against paying up for 2021 or 2022, which were printed in larger quantities into a softer market.

Hobby boxes carry a tamper-evident seal beneath the shrink; check the flap for adhesive residue and make sure the shrink is tight at all four corners rather than loose or re-heated.
