Hobby Box, 2025 edition

The 2025 hobby box is 20 packs of four cards, 80 cards total. It sold through an EQL presale raffle on May 18, 2026 at $639.99 and moved to $649.99 on release day, June 19, 2026. Sealed boxes trade at $850-$1,259 as of August 2026, with most sales between $900 and $1,000 and a working figure near $970. Autographs in this edition are hard-signed and deliberately scarcer than in standard Topps Chrome, which is why the box is priced on parallels and case hits rather than on a hit guarantee.

Hobby Box, 2024 edition

The 2024 hobby box used the same 20 packs of four cards structure at a much lower $279.99, and it did not guarantee an autograph. Instead each box promised two base refractor parallels, one Nucleus Refractor and two further base parallels, with an autograph appearing at roughly one in three boxes. Sealed boxes trade widely, from about $485 at the low end earlier in 2026 up to $900, with recent transactions concentrated at $650-$750. That spread is unusually wide for a two-year-old product and reflects thin volume rather than genuine disagreement about value.

Hobby Case

Is Topps Cosmic Chrome football worth buying sealed?

The 2025 box is expensive relative to what it guarantees. At roughly $970 for 80 cards with no promised autograph, the rip math only works if you land a high-tier numbered parallel or a case hit, and most boxes will not. It is a product for parallel chasers and for breakers who can sell spots, not for a collector looking for value per dollar.

The 2024 box is the better sealed proposition and has behaved like it, but the ceiling is capped by the unlicensed images. Some collectors will never pay up for airbrushed cards, and that structurally limits demand no matter how good the rookie class is. Print run risk is also real: neither year is scarce in an absolute sense, and Topps has an obvious incentive to expand a brand that sells out.
