About this show

The Texas TCG Expo returns to the Waxahachie Civic Center on Sunday, December 6, 2026, running 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM with more than 200 vendor tables. This is the series' holiday edition and its largest of the year, and it remains one of the very few large trading card events staged south of the Metroplex rather than north of it — which means dealers and inventory that have not already been worked over at three Lewisville shows in a row.

The Expo is trading card game first and unapologetic about it. Pokemon is the headline category: graded vintage in PSA and CGC slabs, modern sealed booster boxes, elite trainer boxes, holiday collections, Japanese product, promos and binder after binder of singles priced for players rather than speculators. One Piece has grown into a major section at this series. Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball Super, Magic: The Gathering and Lorcana all have dealers. Sports cards appear but are not the point. Around the edges you will find anime figures, plush, supplies, custom art and small-batch merchandise that only turns up at TCG-focused events.

The programming is what separates this show from a straightforward card show. Recent editions have run live artists working the floor, on-site grading submission intake so you can hand cards off without shipping them, free face painting, temporary tattoos, a live DJ and rolling giveaways through the day. For a December show, that adds up to something families can actually spend an afternoon at rather than a thirty-minute browse.

Admission is $5, and children 13 and under enter free — an unusually generous cutoff. Parking at the Civic Center is free. Tickets are available through the show's Treasure page and at the door.

The Waxahachie Civic Center is at 2000 Civic Center Lane, just off I-35E. From Arlington the drive is roughly 35 minutes southwest via Highway 287 or I-20 to I-35E. Waxahachie's historic downtown square, five minutes away, is worth building into the trip — the restored courthouse, the surrounding restaurants and the December decorations make it one of the better day-trip destinations attached to any card show in Texas.

Who should attend? Pokemon and One Piece collectors above all. Players restocking singles, since the binder depth here is strong. Holiday shoppers, because 200-plus tables of sealed and graded product at show prices beats retail. Families, thanks to free entry for kids 13 and under plus the face painting and artists. Collectors who want grading submissions handled in person. And anyone tired of the same northern venues month after month.

Tips: arrive near the 10:00 AM open to work the vintage cases before they are picked over. Bring cash. If you plan to use the grading intake, have your cards sleeved, listed and ready before you arrive — it saves everyone time. Walk the entire floor before buying, because at this table count price spread is real. Leave an hour for the square on the way home.
