December produces the year's most flexible sellers. Dealers converting inventory to cash before year end price accordingly, and higher-end cases that held firm through the fall often move now. The seasonal category mix is unusually wide. College basketball is in full swing, and in this market Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals hoops material moves as fast as anything on the floor. The NFL is heading into its playoff push with rookie values settled, the NBA and NHL are well underway, and baseball's offseason quiet makes MLB material — vintage and modern alike — cheaper than at any other point in the calendar. Trading card game vendors stock Pokémon singles and sealed from WOTC Base, Jungle, Fossil and Team Rocket through Scarlet and Violet plus Japanese imports, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece TCG, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Z Fusion World, Digimon and Star Wars Unlimited. Comics, non-sport sets, Funko Pops, autographed memorabilia and supplies fill the remaining tables.
This is a single-day show running 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Eastern. The four-hour window and holiday timing mean the first hour is the busiest of any month in the series.
