Card Show Weekend Preview May 8 to 10: Pokemon Regionals in LA, Hawaii TCG Expo, East Bay TCG NOW, and a Stacked National Slate

Mother's Day weekend is normally a quieter stretch on the card show calendar. Not this year. The May 8 to 10, 2026 weekend is stacked with major events on both coasts, in Hawaii, in the Midwest, and in the desert. Whether you are looking to grind Pokemon Regionals, hunt slabs at a major vendor row, or rip new product in a casual setting, there is something nearby.

Pokemon Regionals dominates Los Angeles

The headline event of the weekend is the 2026 Los Angeles Pokemon Regional Championships at the LA Convention Center, Hall A, May 8 through 10. Even if you are not playing competitively, the show floor draws major vendors who set up to buy and sell singles in volume. Spectator badges are $20.

Hawaii TCG Expo

Across the Pacific, the Hawaii Pokemon and TCG Expo takes over the Hawaii Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10. The show is the islands' biggest annual TCG event, with vendors, competitive tournaments, trading meetups, and special guests filling both days. If you are a Hawaii-based collector, this is the show.

East Bay Card Show TCG NOW lands in Santa Clara

In Northern California, the East Bay Card Show's TCG NOW event runs Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. East Bay has built one of the strongest dedicated TCG show brands in the Bay Area, and the May edition typically pulls in Magic, Pokemon, Lorcana, and One Piece dealers in roughly equal measure.

How to plan your weekend

If you are within driving distance of LA, Santa Clara, or Honolulu, the multi-day shows justify a weekend trip and let you set up a clear buying or selling list ahead of time. For everyone else, the Saturday and Sunday single-day shows are great for quick walkthroughs, dollar bin digging, and meeting your local card shop owners in person.

This is one of the busiest card show weekends of the spring. Bring cash, bring a list, and double-check show hours before you head out.
