Three Heisman Winners and 400 Tables in Oklahoma City: Card Shows for September 12-13
OKC Collects debuts at the Oklahoma City Convention Center this weekend with more than 400 tables and three Heisman Trophy winners signing Sunday. The Northeast Expo runs both days in Boxborough, and a dozen local shows fill out Sunday.
Collect-A-Con's Bay Area debut is getting most of the attention this weekend, and it deserves it. But it is not the only thing happening. Two full-weekend regional shows run September 12 and 13, and Sunday is stacked with local shows in a dozen states.

This is the show's debut at the new downtown convention center after earlier 2026 stops at OKANA Resort, and it comes with more than 400 tables of sports cards, Pokemon, other TCGs, memorabilia and collectibles.
The guest list is the draw:
- Sunday: Heisman Trophy winners Billy Sims, Steve Owens and Jason White
- Both days: voice actors Michele Knotz and Jessie James Grelle
Three Heisman winners in one room is an unusual booking for a regional show, and it is a specifically Oklahoma booking - Sims, Owens and White all won theirs at OU. If you have Sooners material sitting in a box, this is the weekend to get it signed.
Northeast Sports Card Expo - Boxborough, MA
September 12 and 13
The Northeast Expo runs a rotating circuit through Massachusetts and Connecticut and has built a reputation as a dealer-heavy, low-nonsense show. If you are in eastern Massachusetts or southern New Hampshire, this is your weekend option without a flight.
Sunday Is the Local-Show Day
September 13 has small and mid-sized shows running in, among other places:

- Cuyahoga Falls, OH
- Kingston, NY and Queens, NY
- Stamford, CT
- St. Louis, MO
- Omaha, NE
- St. Paul, MN
- Costa Mesa, CA
- New Port Richey and Gainesville, FL
- Knoxville, TN
Most of these are three-to-six-hour shows with free or single-digit admission. They are where the actual bargains are, because dealers who do not travel nationally price to move inventory locally.
How to Work a Regional Show
A 400-table show and a 30-table show reward completely different approaches.
At the big one: do a full lap before you buy anything. Prices on identical cards vary more than new attendees expect, and the table you would have bought from first is rarely the best one. Bring cash - a meaningful number of dealers discount for it, and the ones who do not will still negotiate faster.
At the small one: buy early. The good raw material at a local show is gone in the first 45 minutes, mostly to other dealers. If you are hunting vintage commons, set-fillers or underpriced raw cards, showing up at noon means you are shopping what everyone else passed on.
One more thing for the autograph shows: check the signing schedule and whether tickets are sold separately before you drive. Guest signings at regional shows are frequently ticketed independently of admission, and they sell out.
