Lorcana Hyperia City Prereleases October 16: Coco, Ink Drops, and Every Product Price
Disney Lorcana's 14th set, Hyperia City, prereleases in stores October 16 and hits shelves October 23. It brings Pixar's Coco into the game, adds one new mechanic called ink drops, and has Mickey and Cinderella as its Iconic cards. Here is what is in it and how to get a prerelease seat.
Hyperia City Has a Date: October 16 in Stores
Ravensburger used its September 22 Lorecast to lay out everything about Hyperia City, the 14th Disney Lorcana set and the last one of 2026. Prerelease events start Friday, October 16 at participating game stores and select Disney Parks and stores. The set goes on sale everywhere Friday, October 23.
The name nods to Walt Disney's Hyperion Studio, where Mickey Mouse was created. In the game, Hyperia City is a metropolis split into districts: the City Center, Wandering Straits, Old Towne Hyperia and the Marigold District.
What Is in the Set
Coco Arrives
Pixar's Coco appears in Lorcana for the first time, based in the Marigold District. Early previews include Miguel Rivera and Hector Rivera as Street Musicians, an "Un Poco Loco" song card and several versions of Pepita. Big Hero 6 characters, including Honey Lemon, live at the city's Multidisciplinary Academy for Genius, Imagination, and Creativity, shortened to M.A.G.I.C. Disney Princesses and Mickey round out the list.
One New Mechanic: Ink Drops
Ink drops are counters that give you a one-time burst of ink. You can spend one to play a card from your hand, or use it to power up cards that reference ink drops. Lead game designer Lukas Litzsinger said the team wanted to focus on a single mechanic this time. For new players, that is good news: one new rule to learn at prerelease, not three.
The Iconic Cards
The two Iconic cards, the rarest in standard packs, are Mickey Mouse, Best in Town (first shown at D23) and Cinderella, Unintentional Icon. Cinderella is a 7-cost Sapphire character with 4 strength, 6 willpower and Shift 5. Her Bespoke Design ability looks at the top two cards of your deck at the end of your turn, puts one back on top and the other into your inkwell. Enchanted cards follow a night-on-the-town theme.

- Prerelease Box: $39.99, with an exclusive promo card and poster. This is what you play with on October 16.
- Illumineer's Trove: $49.99, with eight booster packs, six damage dice and a spin-dial lore counter.
- Booster display: 24 packs at a total MSRP of $143.76.
- Playmats: Snowboarding Stitch and Miguel, $24.99 each.
- 2 Player Starter Set: also shown for the set, aimed at new players.
Not in October: Illustrious Cards
The Lorecast also revealed the second Illustrious card, an Evil Queen illustrated by Arch Apolar. Illustrious cards are serialized to 23 copies each, and they are only found in Collector Boosters, which do not launch until Into the Inkdark in Q1 2027. Collector Boosters carry a suggested price of $34.99 per pack or $419.99 for a 12-pack display, and they will be sold only at Ravensburger Play Hub stores, the Ravensburger online store and select Disney locations. Illustrious cards are not legal in Core Constructed.
So if you see anyone selling "Hyperia City Illustrious" chances in October, walk away. They are not in this set's packs. Cosmic Quest, featuring WALL-E and EVE for the first time, follows in spring 2027.
How to Get Into the Prerelease
- Call your store this week. Prerelease seats usually fill before the kits arrive.
- Ask about the Friday and weekend flights. Many stores run several sessions between October 16 and 22.
- Bring sleeves and a lore counter. The kit covers cards, but extras help.
