2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1: Triple Podium Autographs and First-Ever On-Card Chrome Signatures
Topps Chrome F1 adds Triple Podium Autographs, on-card Molten Mercury signatures and a Dutch-auction First Day Issue box. Here is what collectors should know.
Topps Chrome Formula 1 Brings On-Card Autographs to the Grid
Topps' F1 line has a new flagship look this fall. Cardlines lists 2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1 for October 15, and a Sole Retriever preview describes several firsts for the Chrome F1 brand.
New Chase Cards
- Triple Podium Autographs: cards with signatures from all three podium finishers of the 2025 season. The preview notes champion Lando Norris appears on 18 of them, while Nico Hulkenberg appears on just one.
- Molten Mercury On-Card Autographs: exclusive to First Day Issue boxes. They are on-card, a first for Chrome F1, which has used sticker autographs since 2020.
- The Grail: a nine-card chase set where completing it earns prizes including gold cards and race tickets.
- F1 Debut Patch Autographs: back again. Cardlines lists an Arvid Lindblad one-of-one as the top chase.
Base Set and Inserts
The base checklist has 200 subjects. Insert sets include Anime, which is new to F1 Chrome, along with At Night, Helmet Collection and Futuro Autographs.
First Day Issue Boxes
First Day Issue boxes are sold by Dutch auction, so the price begins high and drops until the product sells out. That format rewards patient buyers who watch the price, but it also means a hobby shop's allocation can be small. The earlier release date in the Sole Retriever article has since moved, so check with your shop for the current timeline.
Is It for You?
F1 cards are a growing slice of the hobby, and on-card autographs address a long-standing complaint. If you collect drivers rather than teams, this is likely the most interesting racing release of the year.
Ask a local shop about F1 allocations. Use the Card Shop Finder directory to find a card shop near you.
