Toronto Sport Card and Memorabilia Expo Opens Today: Canada's Biggest Show Returns Through May 3

Canada's largest cards-and-collectibles event opens at 4 PM today at the International Centre in Mississauga and runs through Sunday, May 3. Here is the four-day schedule, ticket pricing, and the right strategy for hunting deals on each day.

The doors open at 4:00 PM today on the biggest weekend in Canadian collecting. The Sport Card and Memorabilia Expo begins its four-day run at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, and by Sunday afternoon more than 100,000 square feet of expo space will have hosted over 200 dealers, several major corporate booths, and a long list of athlete signings.

What Makes the Toronto Expo Different

The Toronto show is the longest-running and largest cards-and-collectibles event in Canada. It is a true cross-category show: hockey is the heartbeat, but baseball, football, basketball, Pokemon, and broader TCG product all share the floor. For collectors who do not regularly travel to U.S. shows like the National, the spring and fall Toronto Expos function as the marquee dates on the Canadian calendar.

Hours across the four days

  • Thursday, April 30 — 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (preview night for the most serious buyers)
  • Friday, May 1 — 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Saturday, May 2 — 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (the busiest day)
  • Sunday, May 3 — 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (deal day for unsold inventory)

Tickets and the Family Angle

Single-day tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Saturday is the premium day at $25 in advance or $30 onsite. With any paid adult ticket, kids under 12 get in free, which has helped the Toronto show retain a strong family-and-collector mix that some larger U.S. events have lost.

What to Look For on the Floor

Thursday afternoon is traditionally the best window for hunting raw vintage and rare slabs before the casual weekend crowd arrives. Saturday is best for autograph experiences. Sunday is when sharp dealers cut prices to avoid hauling product home.

If you are flying or driving in for one day only, Friday is the sweet spot. Dealers have unpacked and priced everything, the floor is not yet packed shoulder-to-shoulder, and the autograph schedule is in full swing.

For collectors who cannot make it in person, watch eBay and Whatnot late Sunday night and into Monday. Toronto Expo product traditionally floods online channels in the 48 hours after the show wraps, and that is often where the leftover deals surface.
