Yu-Gi-Oh! Beyond the Brave Arrives October 9 With Joey Wheeler, Ashtra and 20 Starlight Variants
Konami's next booster brings new Joey Wheeler cards, Destiny HERO support, Atlantis and the debut of Ashtra. Here is the rarity breakdown and what to know before you buy.
Beyond the Brave Is Konami's Next Big Booster
Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG players have a new core booster arriving this month. Retail listings put Beyond the Brave's release on October 9, 2026, with tournament stores expected to get product a couple of days early, and a card calendar from Cardlines lists it at $4.99 per pack.
What Is in the Set
Based on the product reveal coverage at YuGiOhMeta, Beyond the Brave leans on character-driven themes and brings in several new strategies at once:
- Joey Wheeler cards: a Quick-Play Spell with coin-flip, risk-and-reward effects.
- Destiny HERO support: new Fusion-focused cards such as Doom Overlord and Destro-Dogma.
- Atlantis archetype: a Field Spell that reduces monster Levels and makes Link Summons cheaper.
- Ashtra: a Trap-based Summoning deck debuting with Audhumla, Progenitor of the Frozen Expanse.
- Dark Time Wizard: a line of cards tied to Joey Wheeler's themes.
Rarity Breakdown
The set lists 10 Secret Rares, 14 Ultra Rares, 26 Super Rares and 50 Commons. On top of that, five cards get extended-art Ultra and Starlight Rare treatments, and there are 20 additional Starlight Rare variants. Those Starlights are what will drive the singles market.
Buying Advice
Early set pricing is rarely stable. Newly revealed archetypes can spike before play results come in and then settle, so waiting for tournament data before buying singles is usually cheaper. If you are opening for fun, boxes from a local shop are the simplest way to avoid scalper markups.
Check release timing with your own store, because street dates and early tournament-store allocations can differ by shop.
